Mirjam von Arx hat Krebs, als ihr Lebensgefährte Herbert beim Base-Jumping tödlich verunglückt. Die Filmemacherin kann nicht verstehen, dass er sein Leben aufs Spiel gesetzt hat, während sie um ihres kämpft. Sie sucht die Nähe zu Herberts Base-Jump-Freunden und beginnt langsam zu begreifen, dass es für die Springer nicht darum geht, eine Todessehnsucht zu stillen. Sie springen, um zu leben, um das Leben zu spüren.
