Grit Lemke - selbst in Hoyerswerda aufgewachsen - hat ein poetisches wie persönliches Porträt des Rockpoeten und Baggerfahrers Gerhard Gundermann gezeichnet, in dem sie sich vor allem in und um Hoyerswerda umgesehen und umgehört hat . So erinnern sich u.a. Conny Gundermann, Gundermanns Lehrerin, die Mitglieder der Brigade Feuerstein, die Silly-Musiker, und sie werden nicht nur nach ihm befragt. Der Film lebt auch von präzisem wie eigenwilligen Einbeziehung einer Vielzahl von Songs und Konzertausschnitten.. Ein Höhepunkt der Leipziger Dokfilm-Woche 2019 und zu recht für den "Grimme-Preis" 2020 nominiert.
