朱麗娥與丈夫離婚後獨力撫養女兒慧敏, 一向對敏非常緊張. 敏參加合唱團, Alex 因失戀, 故在工餘時間當上合唱團教師, 敏唱得差勁, Alex 當眾責備她, 她十分反感, 與朋友 Sam 弄污 Alex 的車子. 但 Alex 沒有追究, 還用私人時間指導敏的歌唱技巧, 敏進步神速, Alex 推薦她錄廣告歌. 娥擔心敏被騙, 跟縱至錄音室, 因而對 Alex 改觀. 娥於地鐵扭傷腳踝, 遇 Alex. Alex 揹她回家並替她按摩, 娥感激, 兩人發生感情, 經常偕敏到處遊玩. 敏與同學宿營, 娥與 Alex 獨對一宵, 關係更進一步. 娥、Alex 與敏在餐廳碰見 Alex 前度模特兒女友碧琪, 琪揶揄娥. 娥懷疑自己懷孕, 到 Alex 家中, 卻發現琪以鎖匙進屋, 琪誤會她為鐘點女傭, 娥不悅, 含淚準備離去. Alex 回家見狀, 責備琪, 三人僵著. Alex 送娥返家, 琪獨自留下. 敏到 Alex 家中, 見到情緒欠佳之琪, 琪忽然推門進浴室, 把自己鎖在裏面. 未幾敏嗅到煤氣味, 立刻通知 Alex 和娥, 兩人趕到, 把琪送進醫院. 原來琪為了新男朋友而自殺, 事後兩人冰釋前嫌結婚, Alex 與娥亦於他們的婚禮上和好如初.
