In their little shack lost in the middle of the vast plains of Kazakhstan, Tolgat and his daughter Dina lead a modest and peaceful life, punctuated by the work of the farm. Dina is courted by two young men, Kaysin and Max, respectively Kazakh and Russian. They are both fascinated by the great beauty of the young woman, but a threat is looming. One evening, men armed with Geiger counters arrive at the farm.
