Na studijní stáž do Kanady odlétá mladý gymnasista. Strašně se těší, a ani nevnímá podvědomý strach rodičů, a nejvíce pak své matky. Když se pak daleko „za velkou louží" stane tragédie, obrátí to život všech aktérů tohoto příběhu naruby. Zamíchá jejich osudy, životy, pocity, náladami, i budoucností... Ale nepředbíhejme.
