Malgré le mariage du jeune roi protestant Henri de Navarre avec Marguerite de Valois, dite Margot, les Guises et Charles IX fomentent les horreurs de la Saint Barthélemy. Cette adaptation grandiose nous fait entrer dans un labyrinthe de rebondissements, d'alliances et de trahisons.
