Franccioni es un poderoso juez federal argentino. Vive con Carola, su hija enferma con quien no logra vincularse. Sus empleados Pepe y Mirta se ocupan del jardín y del orden hogareño. Alberto ordena preparar un agasajo para una importante reunión con el gobernador en la tarde, y a lo largo del día recibe a diferentes personas de su entorno íntimo, y se ve obligado a tomar decisiones que ellos no se atreven a tomar. Así, logra un extremo control de su vida y de la del resto.
