Un directeur d'agence financière malhonnête tente d'escroquer Pierre Durban, qui a pourtant une alliée à l'agence en la personne de Marcelle, amie d'enfance et secrétaire du patron. Bien que celle-ci s'efforce de contrecarrer les plans du directeur, ce dernier parvient à ruiner Durban.
