Après 62 ans de vie commune, Aïcha et Mabrouk, mes grands-parents, sont aujourd’hui séparés. Je n’ai pas compris leur séparation. Je ne connais pas leur histoire. Tous deux nés en Algérie, cela fait plus de soixante ans qu’ils vivent à Thiers, une petite ville médiévale en Auvergne. Leur séparation fait écho au silence et à la distance de l’exil et du déracinement.
