李金凤、玉凤姐妹奉师命携火龙珠往赈灾，为贼所困，得朱三冠相助脱险，岂料冠亦为夺火龙珠而来。金凤、玉凤往找师叔陈济人相助，冠挑战济人，比试医术、智慧及武功。首两战二人各胜一场，济人自忖比武没有必胜把握，唯有智取，定下十五日后遣徒弟应战。济人着玉凤乔装邻居接近冠，探得剑招想出破解办法，在比试当日打败冠。冠履行诺言护宝珠赈灾，钟山四奇来夺宝，冠恐不敌，将珠吞藏腹中，金凤、玉凤却误会冠乘机夺珠。三人于生死门力歼四奇后，冠重伤，无力吐珠，欲剖腹自尽明志；此时济人现身，感冠仁义，助他吐出宝珠。
