Una familia burguesa cubana de origen aristocrático se encierra en su mansión cuando la Revolución Cubana llega al poder, esperando que el nuevo régimen sea derrocado. A medida que pasa el tiempo, retroceden a sistemas de orden político cada vez más antiguos, desde el capitalismo hasta el feudalismo y el "salvajismo primitivo".
