Tras la muerte de Franco y la restauración de la monarquía, el marqués de Leguineche regresa a su palacio de Madrid. Tras treinta años de exilio voluntario en su finca de Los Tejadillos, pretende acercarse al Rey para retomar la vida cortesana de antaño. Sin embargo, no es tan fácil acceder a la Familia Real.
