Tonelec, un joven descendiente de Tobas, es conocedor de sus tradiciones, su historia, su legado y su lengua, pero actúa como miembro de una comunidad Ranquel, en una película ambientada en 1810 que celebra el Bicentenario. Él, los otros actores y los técnicos que trabajan en el set intentan sobrepasar tanta confusión.
