Aquest documental comença quan els alemanys controlen la frontera francoespanyola i ens mostra com les successives expedicions d'homes, dones, infants i vells jueus (més de 5.000) aconsegueixen travessar les altes muntanyes pirinenques de l'Arieja i de Lleida amb l'objectiu d'arribar a Barcelona. Punt de partida d'un nou viatge cap a Palestina, Amèrica o Àfrica del Nord.
