薄暗いトンネルの中へと突き進んでいく列車。車内に座る一人のピアニストはそこで花売りの少女と出会う。少女に亡き娘の面影を見出すピアニスト。だがその時、トンネル事故が起こったため、列車は突如として停まる。やがて停車場に降りたピアニストは、そこへやってきた牛車に乗り込む。
