The Christmas Setup

The story of New York lawyer Hugo who heads to Milwaukee with his best friend Madelyn to spend the holidays with his brother Aiden and his mom Kate, who is also in charge of the local Christmas celebrations. Ever the matchmaker, Kate arranges for Hugo to run into Patrick, Hugo’s high school friend and secret crush, who has recently returned after a successful stint in Silicon Valley. As they enjoy the local holiday festivities together, Hugo and Patrick’s attraction to each other is undeniable and it looks as though Kate’s Santa-style matchmaking is a success. But as Hugo receives word of a big promotion requiring a move to London, he must decide what is most important to him.

Accompagné de sa meilleure amie Maddy, Hugo rentre passer les fêtes de Noël chez sa mère à Milwaukee, dans le Wisconsin. Il ne cesse de croiser Patrick, un jeune homme qui était dans le même lycée que lui il y a plus de dix ans. Hugo et Patrick ressentent immédiatement une attirance l’un pour l’autre, mais le départ prochain d’Hugo jette une ombre sur leur idylle, d’autant qu’Hugo se voit offrir une promotion qui l’obligera à déménager à Londres, s’il décide de l’accepter. Il doit aussi aider sa mère à préparer un festival magique pour tous les habitants de Carroll Avenue et sauver la gare historique de la ville qui risque d’être démolie.

Mentre si godono le vacanze natalizie insieme, è innegabile che tra Hugo e Patrick sia scattata la scintilla.
