The Japanese national soccer team has long lacked scoring power, so a top-secret project was devised to overcome this and aim for victory in the World Cup. It's called "Blue Lock." Here, the students are told that what it takes to be the world's best striker isn't teamwork, but a desire to score goals and an unwavering ego.
The 300 high school strikers gathered will undergo numerous trials in a bid to survive, and only the final winner will become the world's best striker.
However, there is a cruel condition: anyone who drops out will be permanently stripped of their right to play for the Japanese national team.
