Cristina, una mujer muy bella, vive enamoradísima de su marido Manuel, a quien cree el hombre más guapo, simpático y, sobre todo, el mejor marido del mundo. Inesperadamente, Manuel muere y, a partir de entonces, Cristina no vivirá sino para idealizar a su marido, llegando al extremo de rendirle un verdadero culto. Hasta que un pretendiente despechado le pone al corriente de la verdadera personalidad de su marido. La reacción de Cristina no se hace esperar, le entra una 'ventolera' y se convierte en la mujer más atractiva y deseada de Sevilla.
