Beatrice Straight

Beatrice Whitney Straight is remembered as the matriarch Alice Dain Leggett in the miniseries The Dain Curse (1978), Queen Mother in the 1970s Wonder Woman series, and as Louis Schumacher in the 1976 movie Network, for which she held the record for the briefest performance to win an Oscar - a scant five minutes and 40 seconds of screen time.
