Gerson Camarotti

Gerson Camarotti Gomes is a Brazilian journalist and writer. Gerson is a political commentator for GloboNews and the TV news program Bom dia Brasil. Since 2012, he has a column on G1, Rede Globo's news portal. He graduated in journalism from the Catholic University of Pernambuco and completed a postgraduate degree in political science from the University of Brasília (UnB). In the federal capital, he worked at the branches of Veja and Época magazines, and at the newspapers O Globo, O Estado de S.Paulo and Correio Braziliense. In 2013, he was sent to Rome by GloboNews to cover the conclave, when he did the first exclusive interview with Pope Francis. He is co-author of the book Memorial do Escândalo (2005) and author of Segredos do Conclave (2013).
