Raymond Roe appeared in the original Broadway productions of Our Town and Life With Father as a child. His big screen career began with 1939’s Back Door to Heaven. After returning from service in WWII and finding it difficult to get work, he turned to police work and became a Los Angeles County deputy sheriff for 28 years
