Les Misérables (1934)

C'est avec la mention "homme très dangereux" figurant sur son passeport, que Jean Valjean est libéré de prison. Arrivé à Digne, seul l'évêque, Monseigneur Myriel, daigne lui offrir l'hospitalité. Malheureusement, Valjean le quitte en emportant l'argenterie. Rattrapé par la gendarmerie, ceux-ci le conduisent à nouveau à l'évêché. Le prélat lui pardonne, voulant absolument que cet homme regagne le droit chemin...
