Brněnskou pobočku velkoobchodu s papírem řídí vedoucí Marek Chvála, neškodně sebestředný a k jakýmkoliv citům ignorantský šéf. Pod rouškou péče o své podřízené se snaží ve firemní struktuře přežít co nejdéle, a proto neustále vymýšlí nové kličky ve vztahu k vedení společnosti. Dokumentární kamera fiktivního štábu se zaměřuje i na osudy jeho kolegů, kteří si dlouhé chvíle v nudné práci snaží krátit každý svým originálním způsobem.
