恐怖醫學在2009年12月15日之前，作為前一個節目的教養綜藝節目《最終警告！恐怖家庭醫學》，以尋找疾病為概念而播出。改題後的本節目中，「看」還是「做」的電視。以「健康製作」為中心，以「從疾病的警告到健康的身體製作」為主題的內容，重新開始播放。像前一個節目那樣，廢除有恐怖感的演出，並不是以「生病的原因」來驗證的事例VTR的中心，積極地提出了健康法。「紅區」也丟失了從客人的生活習慣容易生病的人。但是，收視率不好，改題後幾次復活事例VTR。「紅區」也改名為「紅牌」。收視率為1位，特別是獲得高收視率。平日裡不以為意的小毛病，可能帶來的嚴重後果，沒有留意到的小細節也可能種下病因，一些大家很少留意的症狀，可能是某種嚴重疾病的先兆。由該疾病領域的醫師，進行解說及分析，並介紹簡單的自我檢測，對症下藥，分享最適合的治療方法，專業醫師親自解說、提供建議，預防疾病就從改善日常生活與飲食的習慣開始做起，打造健康的人生。
