东汉末年，司徒王允家的歌妓秦氏，在风雨交加的夜里被王家赶出家门生下貂蝉，本名罗敷，当晚被路人辛福救回家中，将母女二人收养。当时朝廷腐败，董卓专权，辛福一家人在一次围剿黄巾军中惨遭杀害，只剩下小儿辛延年，和貂蝉从小一起长大，青梅竹马，两小无猜，可是他们的同窗好友李儒也深爱着貂蝉，为了独占貂蝉，他设计陷害辛延年入狱。二十年后，已是绝代美人的貂蝉，竟被自己的亲生父亲允送给了贼臣董卓，制定连环计，利用貂蝉的美貌离间董、吕父子互相残杀……
