The Kimberley at its Best

The Kimberley – no other place in Australia has such an ability to give 4WDers itchy feet. It’s the best bits of Aussie 4WDing all rolled into one. Join Roothy this month as he catches up with old mates Ronnie and Colin Morgan, and of course Gleno Hadden, as they search for the Old Page Mission Track. It hasn’t been driven for years, and it’s all but completely grown over. Will the boys succeed in finding the track, or will they end up stuck in a legendary Kimberley water crossing? This is 4WD adventure like it’s meant to be! If tough 4WDing’s your thing, then tough 4WDs must be too! This issue, we’ve caught up with the owners of three pearler custom 4WDs. First up is a weapon of a Troopy with a supercharged 1HZ (yep, you heard that right!), before we move on to a beaut budget Rangie that copped a corker of an engine swap for bugger-all money! Last but not least is an absolutely insane TJ Wrangler with a supercharged inline six (must be something in the water). This might just be Australia’s toughest TJ – you’ll have to watch to judge for yourself! On top of all that, Roothy whips up a kangaroo stew that will get you drooling, and we reward a top bloke who went above and beyond the call of duty. 4WD Action DVD – your pass to the best parts of Australia, without having to leave your lounge room!
