Emerging from the collaboration of two massive retailers, came the creation of what ultimately became a Canadian department store icon. On the sunny shores of Florida's Gulf Coast, sits an astounding enormous abandoned resort. Way back when Walt Disney World opened in the 1970's, in the family campground was a train system that almost no one knows about today. Back in the early 2000's, Walt Disney World had a tough decision on their hands with a brand new value resort they had been building. After over 130 years of business, today I am looking at one of the most iconic and prolific retailers in history. Today I am revisiting the topic that started this whole series and diving deep to explore the full history and what is eventually going to happen to Walt Disney World's River Country.

So today I'm looking a bit deeper into how a brand new, billion dollar resort failed so spectacularly and eventually sat abandoned for several years.
