13年前、秋葉原で6人の少女が姿を消した未解決事件―― 通称「アキバの神隠し」。 一年に一度のゲームショウで、その事件を題材にした新作ゲーム『AKIBA LOST』の開発を高らかに宣言したのは、かつて“天才クリエイター”と呼ばれた新城大輝だった。しかしその発表を機に、再び不可解な失踪事件が起こり始める。 ゲームの出演者として集められたのは、メイドカフェで働く新城の妹・新城葵、地下アイドルの長門ここね、グルメライターの黒須萌、巫女の神保千尋、コスプレイヤーの遊佐若菜、ゲーム配信者の倉橋佑季美。日本が誇るサブカルチャータウン“秋葉原”を象徴する多彩な顔ぶれだった。だが、彼女たちが演じるはずの物語は、やがて現実を侵食し始める。そのきっかけは新城に届いた脅迫電話と葵の失踪だった。「ゲームの開発を中止しろ――さもなくば悲劇は繰り返される。」新城はゲームを完成させられるのか？仲間を守れるのか？犯人は誰なのか？そして13年前の真実とは？
