L'attore comico Fabio De Luigi è alle prese con una serata molto speciale: ha ricevuto un premio alla carriera, ma è così schivo che ne farebbe a meno, evitando celebrazioni per lui imbarazzanti. Suo malgrado si ritrova in un lussuoso hotel protagonista di una notte in cui scoprirà, insieme agli spettatori, che il premio è un espediente per un viaggio comico e onirico tra amici prestigiosi e sorprese inaspettate, fino al palco e alla meritata statuetta.
