  • S01E01 Arthur's Eyes & Francine's Bad Hair Day

    When D.W. sees pictures of Arthur without his glasses, Arthur tells her the story of why he got glasses, and how he dealt with Francine teasing him for them. With school picture day coming, Muffy tries to give Francine a new makeover, and continuously refuses to allow her to participate in activities with her friends.

  • S01E02 Arthur and the Real Mr. Ratburn & Arthur's Spelling Trubble

    Arthur and his friends are horrified when they learn that their third grade teacher will be the infamous Mr. Ratburn. After Arthur and Buster follow him outside of class, they learn that while he is a tough teacher, he does have a soft side. Arthur practices for the school spelling bee and competes against Prunella, the previous champion, and Brain, the smartest kid in his class. After some initial fear, Arthur wins the bee.

  • S01E03 D.W. All Wet & Buster's Dino Dilemma

    D.W. develops a fear of octopuses while on a field trip to the aquarium with her class. The next day, the Reads go to the beach, but D.W. refuses to swim because she thinks there are octopuses in the water. However, after Arthur and his friends get in trouble for playing a prank on D.W., she overcomes her fear. Buster and Arthur discover a fossilized dinosaur footprint on a class trip to a state park. Buster takes it home, which is against the park rules, but later feels guilty and decides to give it to the park.

  • S01E04 D.W.'s Imaginary Friend & Arthur's Lost Library Book

    Arthur gets annoyed with D.W. when she blames accidents she causes on her imaginary friend, Nadine. While on a trip to the amusement park after hearing about a new ride, Arthur and Buster fear D.W. will embarrass them with Nadine. Arthur is the first to borrow a new book from the library, but he accidentally drops it on his way home. Arthur recruits Binky to help him find the book by interrogating his friends, but it turns out Binky found it after Arthur dropped it.

  • S01E05 Arthur's Pet Business & D.W. the Copycat

    Arthur starts his own pet-sitting business to prove he is responsible enough to get a dog of his own, which includes watching over his neighbor, Mrs. Wood's, unfriendly dog, Perky. When Perky goes missing on the day Mrs. Wood is picking her up, Arthur fears that he is not a good pet owner until he finds that Perky has given birth to a litter of puppies. Arthur adopts one of Perky's puppies as payment. D.W. annoys Arthur by acting and dressing like him and following him around. Arthur's friends start excluding him because they do not want D.W. around. But when D.W.'s own friends refuse to play with her, she decides to change back to her old self.

  • S01E06 Locked in the Library! & Arthur Accused!

    Francine is mad at Arthur for a joke he made at her expense, and Mr. Ratburn assigns them to work together on a project. They go to the library together and lose track of time, getting locked inside when the library closes. As they try to find a way out, Francine and Arthur must put aside their grudges and learn to work together. Arthur is in charge of helping the cafeteria lady, Mrs. MacGrady, with a fundraiser, but when he tries to give the money he raised to her, she is distracted by a phone conversation, so Arthur leaves the money in the kitchen. However, the money disappears and Arthur is falsely accused of stealing it. Buster, acting as a detective, tries to prove Arthur's innocence.

  • S01E07 Arthur Goes to Camp & Buster Makes the Grade

    Arthur and his friends go to Camp Meadowcroak, where everything is a competition between girls and boys. The two teams refuse to collaborate, but when a rival camp plays a spooky prank on them, they realize they must work together to beat the rival camp in the annual scavenger hunt. Buster falls behind with his schoolwork, and is threatened with repeating third grade if he does not improve. Arthur, Muffy, and Francine tutor him, but he struggles to pay attention.

  • S01E08 Arthur's New Puppy & Arthur Bounces Back

    Following the events of "Arthur's Pet Business," Arthur is trying to train his new puppy, Pal, to behave, but Pal ends up making huge messes and causing disturbances around the house. Arthur wants Moon Boots and tries to get money to buy them. While Arthur is cleaning the garage, his neighbor, Mrs. Tibble comes by and, mistaking it for a yard sale, offers to buy a necklace for the amount of money he needs for his Moon Boots. Arthur regrets this decision when he learns that the necklace is a present for his mother's birthday, so he tries to earn it back.

  • S01E09 Arthur Babysits & Arthur's Cousin Catastrophe

    Arthur thinks that babysitting is an easy job until D.W. volunteers him to babysit Tommy and Timmy Tibble, twins with a bad reputation of being destructive and mean. After some initial struggles, Arthur gets the twins to behave by telling them a scary story. Arthur's parents are hosting their annual family reunion. Arthur tries to avoid his cousin Mo, who has bullied him during past reunions, while his parents deal with their eccentric relatives. When a thunderstorm forces the Reads to spend the rest of the party indoors, Arthur learns that Mo has been looking for him to ask if he could give her a piano lesson.

  • S01E10 Arthur's Birthday & Francine Frensky, Superstar

    Arthur and Muffy have their birthday parties on the same day and neither can postpone. While everyone is frozen with indecision over whose party to attend, Arthur and Francine then work together to merge the two parties into one everyone can enjoy. Feeling sorry for Francine never getting a good part in the class play, the whole class vouches for her to star as Thomas Edison in the next play. However, they regret their decision when Francine tries to take charge and acts very bossy, leading to heated disputes between her and the rest of the cast.

  • S01E11 Arthur's Baby & D.W.'s Baby

    On Kate's first birthday, Arthur remembers when his mother first told him and D.W. that she is pregnant. Arthur is nervous, wondering what it will be like to have a new baby in the house. When Kate is born, Arthur is worried that she hates him, since she cries whenever he is nearby. Following the events of the previous episode, Kate finally displays her affection for Arthur. D.W. feels jealous of the attention Kate is receiving from the rest of the family and tries anything to get rid of her, but nothing works.

  • S01E12 Arthur Writes a Story & Arthur's Lost Dog

    When Arthur is assigned to write a story, he writes about how he got Pal (from "Arthur's Pet Business"). Afraid that people will find it boring, Arthur begins fictionalizing the events using advice from different people. Once he realizes how strange the story is, he changes it back and learns that the truth is still interesting. It is Downtown Day in Elwood City and the Reads attend the festival. They pass a clown giving balloons and Kate begins crying because she wants a balloon. Nobody but Pal understands why Kate is crying, so Pal runs off to get a balloon, but Arthur thinks he is running away from him.

  • S01E13 So Long, Spanky & Buster's New Friend

    When D.W.'s pet bird, Spanky, dies, she leaves a can of flowers on his grave after his funeral, but finds a toad in it. The toad constantly follows D.W., but she is annoyed that it will not leave her alone. But when the toad disappears one morning, D.W. realizes that she misses it. Arthur and Buster work on a project together, but Buster does not have the time for the project or for Arthur, instead talking about his new friend, Mike. When Buster keeps forgetting about him, Arthur decides to end his friendship with Buster, until he learns who Mike really is and Buster apologizes.

  • S01E14 Arthur the Wrecker & Arthur and the True Francine

    Arthur borrows a new computer game from Brain, but his mother, who is very busy, needs to use the computer for work. When Buster visits, he and Arthur accidentally knock the keyboard to the floor, causing the computer to shut down. They try to figure out what is wrong with the computer before Arthur's mother comes home. While playing a game of Truth or Dare with Muffy, Francine recalls the time they first met and became friends. Muffy lies about cheating on a test, causing Francine to be punished with detention for a week. When Francine is needed for a crucial softball game, and Muffy's lies finally catch up to her, she finally comes clean, allowing Francine to return to the game.

  • S01E15 Arthur's Family Vacation & Grandpa Dave's Old Country Farm

    Arthur is sad that he cannot go to Camp Meadowcroak with Buster since he is going on a road trip with his family. The Reads face many mishaps such as their hotel reservation getting cancelled and it rains consistently until the last day of their trip. When Arthur gets back, he finds out that Buster had an even worse trip than him. Arthur and D.W. visit their Grandpa Dave, who lives on an old, rundown farm. Grandpa Dave does not want help running it, but Arthur and D.W. are concerned by the state of things and try to help him fix up the farm with the help of his friends.

  • S01E16 Arthur and the Crunch Cereal Contest & D.W. Flips

    Arthur is determined to win a year's supply of Crunch cereal by composing a jingle, but he cannot come up with any ideas. He hears D.W. singing a song about Nadine and copies it. Arthur feels guilty, so he mails the song with D.W.'s name instead of his, and it wins the contest, much to D.W.'s confusion. D.W. is jealous of Emily's performance in their gymnastics class and is determined to become better than her, which endangers her when she climbs on a high balance beam and nearly hurts herself. Afterward, D.W. and Emily apologize to one another and become friends.

  • S01E17 Meek for a Week & Arthur, World's Greatest Gleeper

    Annoyed by Francine's attitude, Muffy bets that she cannot be nice for a week. Noticing how straining the bet is on Francine, Arthur, Buster, and the Brain try to get her to lose her temper, but Francine manages to keep it under control until the bet is over. When Arthur and Buster have to eat lunch with Binky's gang, the Tough Customers, they tell Arthur they think he has never "gleeped" anything, but to impress them, he tells them he has, only to find out later that "gleep" is slang for "steal." Rumors spread about Arthur being a thief, while Binky's gang pressures him into their ranks.

  • S01E18 Arthur's Chicken Pox & Sick as a Dog

    Arthur is looking forward to his family's trip to the circus, but he gets chicken pox, and is unsure if he will get better in time for the circus. When Grandma Thora visits to take care of Arthur, D.W. gets jealous of the attention he gets and tries to pretend she has chicken pox, too. Arthur is sad when Pal has to stay at the vet overnight for being sick. He blames D.W. for this, but when the vet tells him that Pal has been eating human food, he has to apologize to D.W. and learn what Pal is and is not supposed to eat.

  • S01E19 D.W. Rides Again & Arthur Makes the Team

    D.W. gets a two-wheel bike for a bike-riding fundraiser after the Tibble twins tease her for her tricycle. She tries to learn to ride it with Arthur's assistance. After several failed attempts, D.W. gets the hang of riding her bike. Arthur and his friends try out for the baseball team, and Arthur struggles with catching the ball while Francine is unable to throw accurately. When Francine wishes for her father to kick Arthur off the team, thinking he is the reason for the team not doing well, he makes Arthur and Francine coach each other to get better.

  • S01E20 Arthur's Almost Boring Day & The Half-Baked Sale

    Arthur and his friends are assigned to write about what they do over the weekend, but the rain ruins plans. Arthur and D.W. bother each other and are sent to Grandma Thora's, where Thora shows them old home movies and comic books that give Arthur a great idea for his assignment. Grandma Thora is oblivious to the fact that she is a poor cook, and when she bakes cookies for a school bake sale, Arthur and D.W. try to stop her bad cooking from ruining the bake sale without hurting her feelings.

  • S01E21 Sue Ellen Moves In & The Perfect Brother

    Rumors circulate about Sue Ellen Armstrong and her family, who have just moved into the neighborhood. Buster jumps to the false conclusion that they are aliens and tries to expose them, but everyone else learns about how Sue Ellen traveled the world and change their opinions of her. Brain spends the weekend with the Reads while his parents visit an ice cream convention. Brain is neat, finishes his homework early, and reads to D.W., making Arthur look bad. When Brain invites Arthur over to his house, Arthur learns that Brain is not neat and was just acting polite because he was a guest.

  • S01E22 D.W.'s Snow Mystery & Team Trouble

    D.W. keeps a snowball in the freezer from "the best day of her life," but it goes missing. Buster and Francine investigate, listening to biased accounts of those present the day the snowball disappeared. After several arguments and accusations, D.W. lets the incident go as the first snowfall of the year appears. Arthur, Buster, and Francine are assigned to do a group project on Ancient Rome. They separately work on a comic book, which ends up being inconsistent and not working due to disagreements. They learn that they have to work together to make a good project.

  • S01E23 Bully for Binky & Misfortune Teller

    Binky bullies Sue Ellen, who demands that he apologize. When he does not, she challenges him to a fight to settle it. He gets nervous when he finds out she knows Tae Kwon Do, and tries to beat her in music instead. When Sue Ellen is better than him in that as well, Binky accepts that Sue Ellen is tougher than him. For her half-birthday, Prunella's older sister, Rubella, gives her a cootie catcher. Rubella claims that it can tell the future and the answers it gives do come true. Arthur and his friends begin following the advice of the cootie catcher. When the cootie catcher is ruined, they realize that they should not let it control their lives.

  • S01E24 Arthur's Tooth & D.W. Gets Lost

    Arthur has a loose tooth, but he is the only one in his class that has not lost any of his baby teeth yet. He tries to pull it out to get Francine to stop teasing him. Arthur learns that people lose their baby teeth at different ages and tells Francine, only for her to accidentally hit him with a ball and knock out his loose tooth. D.W. wants earrings because her friend Emily has them. D.W.'s mother takes her shopping for earrings, and while at the superstore, they run into Muffy's father, who needs to speak with D.W.'s mother. Impatient, D.W. wanders off and gets lost in the store. While trying to find her way back to her mother, she runs into Emily and sees her earrings have turned her ears green. Upon returning to her mother, D.W. changes her mind.

  • S01E25 D.W. Thinks Big & Arthur Cleans Up

    D.W. wants to help out at Aunt Lucy's wedding, but she is too little. Arthur is the ringbearer and their rude cousin Cora is the flower girl. During the wedding, Cora distracts Arthur, causing him to accidentally throw the ring into the organ pipes. Arthur is too big to crawl into the organ and Cora does not want to get dirty. D.W. volunteers and successfully retrieves the ring. As a reward, Aunt Lucy allows D.W. to be both the ringbearer and the flower girl. When Arthur complains about the state of the park, his father starts a brigade for Arthur and his friends to clean the park. Arthur's friends get angry at him for starting the brigade, despite him trying to explain that it was his father's idea, not his. As a result, Arthur has to do the job himself with only Francine's father advising him. However, the next day, Arthur stands up to Binky and his gang when they tease him and orders them to help him clean the park. Arthur's friends decide to help him after overhearing the incident with Binky's gang.

  • S01E26 My Dad, the Garbage Man & Poor Muffy

    Mr. Ratburn's class goes on field trips to several of the students' parents at work to learn about careers. Francine is embarrassed by her father's job as a garbage man and tries to cover it up by informing her friends that he is in a secret organization and just pretends to be a garbage man for cover. However, Francine eventually decides to admit that her father is really a garbage man when everyone sees that he built a playground out of things he found at the dump. Muffy is allergic to the new carpet in her house, so she stays with Francine while the carpeting is being removed. During Muffy's stay, Francine cannot handle Muffy's spoiled attitude and Muffy cannot deal with the less-than-wealthy condition in which Francine's family lives.

  • S01E27 D.W.'s Blankie & Arthur's Substitute Teacher Trouble

    D.W. cannot find her blankie and enlists the help of Arthur to search for it, retracing her steps over Elwood City. Mr. Ratburn loses his voice and his sister, Ms. Rodentia Ratburn, substitutes for him. Ms. Ratburn is a kindergarten teacher, and although the class is glad to have some easy work at first, they soon get bored and they realize they miss Mr. Ratburn's tougher classes.

  • S01E28 I'm a Poet & The Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club!

    Fern is the only one in class to enter a poetry contest, which is to be judged by famous poet Jack Prelutsky. The others think poetry is uncool, and start making fun of her. Fern bets them if they cannot write and submit their own poems, they must join the poetry club for a year. In doing so, Fern's friends find writing poetry fun. When their favorite series of books is banned from the library by a parental organization who believe scary books are bad for children, Arthur and his friends get together a petition to get them back — all except Muffy that is, as it turns out her parents are the founders of the parental group. Everyone gets a surprise when the books' author arrives to defend her books, and she happens to be Muffy's father's former teacher.

  • S01E29 My Club Rules & Stolen Bike

    Arthur and his friends create a club to exclude D.W., but they cannot agree on the rules. Everyone starts creating their own clubs with strange rules, alienating those who want to join. Francine's bike is too small for her, so her father finds his old bike, except she is embarrassed by the fact that it is old and rusty. When her friends tease her about the bike, she hides it and pretends it is stolen. The bike then gets thrown out, and when Francine's father finds it, they work together on fixing it up.

  • S01E30 Arthur's First Sleepover & Arthur's New Year's Eve

    Arthur has a sleepover with Buster and Brain, even with all the talk of UFOs. D.W. wants to join them so that she can take a picture of a UFO. The boys refuse to invite her, so D.W. plays a prank on them with a flashlight in retaliation, and they get back at her by scaring her with a fake alien, then tricking her into spotting a fake UFO. Arthur has never stayed up until midnight on New Year's Eve. His friends all have different claims on what happens at midnight, so Arthur tries to stay up until New Year's Eve to find out what occurs. He is disappointed when he sleeps through it, although Grandma Thora reassures him that the following year will be exciting.

Season 2

  • S02E01 Arthur Meets Mister Rogers & Draw!

    • October 20, 1997

    Fred Rogers stays at Arthur's house while visiting Elwood City. Arthur is scared of telling anyone that because his friends believe that his TV show is for "babies". His avoiding actions cause Prunella, Rubella, and Brain to jump to the false conclusion that zombies are the reason for his behavior. They try to find out what is happening, and get the police called on them by Mrs. Tibble, who mistakes them for burglars. The next day, Mr. Rogers visits Arthur's school and Arthur works up the courage to explain to his friends why he has been acting strange. When Francine teases Fern for liking Mr. Ratburn's puppet shows, she draws a comic humiliating Francine, which everyone finds amusing. This escalates to everyone in school drawing insulting pictures of Francine, unaware of how much they're hurting her. They go to apologize after they overhear Francine talking to Mrs. MacGrady about how she wants them to stop.

  • S02E02 Binky Barnes, Art Expert & Arthur's Lucky Pencil

    Arthur and Buster have to work with Binky on an art report, but they are worried when Binky claims that a certain abstract picture in the museum is framed the wrong direction. They try to distract Binky and finish the assignment on their own, and are surprised when it turns out that Binky is right. After days of bad luck, Arthur feels he is "cursed" until he finds a pencil. Suddenly, his pencil starts to change his luck: it buys him free soda and better school lunches, and soon his friends all want to use it. With the pencil running low, Arthur hides it to keep his luck safe, but soon cannot remember where it went.

  • S02E03 D.W., the Picky Eater & Buster and the Daredevils

    At a restaurant, D.W. throws a fit over having to eat spinach for dinner and is banned from any future restaurant trips with the family. Arthur and his friends try to come up with a way to get her to try new foods before Grandma Thora's birthday dinner at a popular restaurant, which will be relocated to Arthur's house if D.W. does not change her eating habits. Arthur and Buster want to hang out with two daredevils, Toby and Slink, and Buster does their embarrassing "dares" while seeking their approval. Arthur realizes that Toby and Slink are tricking Buster, and convinces him that they are making a fool out of him for their own amusement.

  • S02E04 Arthur Makes a Movie & Go to Your Room, D.W.

    Arthur and his friends are too young to watch a James Hound movie because it is rated PG-13, so they film their own. While the filming goes wrong, they end up enjoying their outtakes. D.W. grows impatient when she must serve a punishment in her room for 10 minutes for being mean to Kate. She recalls her past behavior, and with Nadine's help, she realizes how bad she has treated her sister.

  • S02E05 Arthur's Underwear & Francine Frensky, Olympic Rider

    • October 24, 1997

    When Binky accidentally splits his pants in class, Arthur thinks it is funny, until he starts having nightmares about losing his pants. Buster tries to help Arthur with different ways to end his nightmares, but none of them work. When Arthur accidentally rips his pants in the cafeteria one day, Binky and Mrs. MacGrady give him advice on how to live with the brief embarrassment, putting an end to Arthur's nightmares. However, Buster starts having nightmares about losing his pants, too. Francine goes for horse riding lessons, and her sister Catherine has to take her there. Catherine decides to take lessons too and quickly becomes better than Francine, as well as getting a crush on Stanley, the riding instructor. Francine gets envious and considers quitting her lessons.

  • S02E06 Buster Baxter, Cat Saver & Play it Again, D.W.

    • October 27, 1997

    When Buster inadvertently saves a cat, the cat's owner glorifies his "heroics" to Buster's mother, causing the incident to become headline news. Buster builds his fame up, causing him to become a "big-shot". Arthur, Francine, and Brain find out the truth and plan on showing everyone that Buster is not as big a hero as he makes himself to be. However, Buster gets another shot at fame when he saves his friends from a runaway piano. Meanwhile, Arthur is being constantly annoyed by D.W. and her "Crazy Bus" CD. D.W. is still playing her "Crazy Bus" CD (since "Buster Baxter, Cat Saver") and Arthur is annoyed by it, even angrily threatening that he will break it. When the CD goes missing, D.W. blames Arthur for taking it, with no one believing his denials.

  • S02E07 Arthur's TV-Free Week & Night Fright

    • October 28, 1997

    Arthur and his friends sign a petition at school to survive one week without television. Everyone tries to resist the temptation of TV while they go through their week, with Arthur and Buster struggling in particular. Binky has a night light and tries to go without it when Arthur has to stay over. Binky goes through another nightmare, and Arthur finds out about it. He believes that Arthur will tell everyone his secret, though Arthur is not particularly interested. Even so, Binky tries to pamper Arthur to keep his secret until Binky finally decides to admit it to avoid Arthur possibly telling everyone.

  • S02E08 Arthur vs. the Piano & The Big Blow-Up

    Arthur's music class has an upcoming recital and everyone except for Arthur is worried and practicing. Arthur is confident that he knows everything well enough, until a nightmare makes him worry that he may miss a note, and he tries to restore his confidence. Meanwhile, D.W. cannot get rid of her hiccups, despite numerous attempted remedies. Francine and Brain have a dispute over soccer practice that carries into class and through the next soccer match. Arthur and Buster resolve things between Francine and Brain with fake apology letters, before the last game of the season that will determine if they make the playoffs or not.

  • S02E09 Lost! & The Short, Quick Summer

    Arthur has to take the bus to the public pool for his swimming lesson, but while reading a book, he falls asleep on the bus, only to miss his stop. Ending up at the edge of town, Arthur tries to find his way home, while D.W. becomes truly scared for Arthur's safety. Arthur stops at a diner for help, where he talks to a friendly bus driver named Sam, who takes him back home. Arthur loses a to-do list he planned for the summer, and the first day of school is quickly approaching. As summer ends, he feels upset that his friends did fun things and he did not. On the last day of summer vacation, Arthur finds his list taped to his bedroom door and realizes that he did everything he wanted to.

  • S02E10 D.W. Goes to Washington & Arthur's Mystery Envelope

    • October 31, 1997

    The Reads go to Washington, D.C. over a holiday vacation. They tour the popular landmarks, including the White House, but D.W., who wishes to go to "Pony Land", abruptly separates from the tour group and meets the President. Mr. Haney, the principal, gives an envelope to Arthur to give to his mother. Arthur is worried about the contents of the envelope, thinking that he is in big trouble, so he tries to hide it from her. D.W. insists on showing the envelope, so she can see how much Arthur is going to get into trouble. When Arthur finally reveals the envelope, it turns out to be Mr. Haney's tax returns, as Arthur's mother is his accountant.

  • S02E11 D.W.'s Deer Friend & Buster Hits the Books

    The Reads spend the weekend camping and D.W. befriends a deer. After naming him Walter, she wants to take him home, but learns that taking away an animal from its habitat is wrong. Buster needs to write a book report, but has never managed to finish a book. His friends try to find a book that is easy for him to read, but Buster cannot pay attention long enough to read one in its entirety, until he finds one that interests him: Robin Hood.

    Arthur and Buster finish reading Robin Hood from "Buster Hits the Books", and decide to write their own continuation of the book, but it gets sidetracked when Buster is leaving for a couple of months with his father, who is a pilot. Arthur tries to find a way for Buster to stay, until Sue Ellen points out how it will be hard for him to go away, causing Arthur to become supportive to Buster until he leaves. Buster soon sends Arthur a surprise gift in the mail: chapters of their book based on his travels. Arthur and Francine are made partners for Mrs. MacGrady's square dancing class. Binky thinks that Francine is in love with Arthur and starts a rumor about it. The two avoid each other because they are afraid of getting cooties.

  • S02E13 Water and the Brain & Arthur the Unfunny

    Muffy is throwing a party at a water park, and everyone is invited, but Brain refuses to go. Arthur and Binky discover that the Brain is afraid of water and try to help him get over this fear so he can go to Muffy's party. In a letter to Buster, Arthur tells him that he is struggling with being funny when his friends act as clowns for a carnival. Arthur cannot learn any clown tricks, and his friends fear that he will ruin the carnival. Arthur learns that he has his own style of being funny that works: playing the piano while making faces with Kate.

  • S02E14 Sue Ellen's Lost Diary & Arthur's Knee

    Sue Ellen loses her diary in the library. Muffy, Francine, Binky, and Arthur find it, and think that it contains her opinions on them and whether to open it or return it unread. Arthur sneaks into the dump to retrieve a wheel for his school project, but accidentally cuts his knee on a sharp can. He hides the injury and makes D.W. promise not to tell anyone because he is not allowed to go to the dump, but D.W tries to convince him, with Brain's help, that he has to confess to his parents before his injury gets worse.

  • S02E15 Grandma Thora Appreciation Day & Fern's Slumber Party

    • April 10, 1998

    Arthur and D.W. feel sorry for Grandma Thora because she does not have cable television, cannot eat any good snacks, and has to keep her teeth in a glass. They plan a surprise party for her, but struggle to make things work and do not want any help planning the party. Fern's mother wants her to host her own slumber party to help Fern expand her social skills, but Fern is very reluctant. Fern's guests – Francine, Muffy, Jenna, Sue Ellen, and Prunella – get bored quickly, and the party is a disaster, but when Francine's bracelet goes missing, Fern uses her detective skills learned from Sherlock Holmes to solve the mystery.

  • S02E16 Love Notes for Muffy & D.W. Blows the Whistle

    Brain and Francine use fake love notes to get vengeance against Muffy after her science project gets more credit. Their joke has unintended consequences, which means they must fix it before things get worse. When D.W. saves a little boy from getting hit by a car with her whistle, she becomes an overzealous safety control freak. Arthur and his friends try to stop her from ruining the upcoming soapbox race, while D.W. learns the hard way that her obsession with finding everyone else's safety faults causes her to jeopardize her own safety.

  • S02E17 Francine Redecorates & Arthur the Loser

    Francine and her older sister, Catherine, have had enough of sharing a room with each other. Catherine moves out to the family living room, leaving Francine alone with their old room. They both struggle with adjusting to their new environments and later decide to compromise with each other as Catherine moves back. Arthur has a losing streak when he continues to be dominated in the new No Guessing! board game, so he resorts to cheating to win. His friends are annoyed by his sore winner attitude and use Binky to make Arthur lose. When Arthur sees everyone rooting against him, he has an imaginary conversation with Buster, who makes him see the error of his ways.

  • S02E18 Arthur vs. the Very Mean Crossing Guard & D.W.'s Very Bad Mood

    Arthur and Brain confront a new crossing guard who charges $10 every time someone crosses the street and threatens to send his "goons" after them. They think of ways to avoid him, until they learn that he is a friend of Grandma Thora's and that he was just teasing them, after overhearing how Arthur constantly teases D.W. the same way. D.W. has been very upset and angry for several days straight. Francine and Arthur spy on D.W. and discover that she is upset over not being invited to a classmate's birthday party. Francine tries to tell D.W. that she cannot have everything that she wants, but when D.W still has not changed her attitude, Francine consoles her by inviting D.W. to her birthday party.

  • S02E19 D.W.'s Name Game & Finders Key-pers

    Arthur and D.W. make fun of each other with different insulting nicknames. After Arthur calls by her full first name, Dora Winifred, D.W. has a nightmare and learns that calling people names can hurt them. Arthur, Binky, and Brain find a key in the grass while looking for a baseball they lost. Arthur theorizes that it is the key to the city, Binky hopes it belongs to a sports car, and Brain thinks that it opens an upcoming science museum. They argue over who gets to keep the key, despite none of them knowing what it unlocks. It is later revealed to open the sprinkler control system for the school's baseball field.

  • S02E20 How the Cookie Crumbles & Sue Ellen's Little Sister

    Muffy is having difficulty coming up with a recipe for a strawberry-themed contest. Her friends suggest a cookie recipe, which turns out to taste delicious, and she takes all of the credit, much to her friends' anger and disgust. Muffy learns the hard way about taking credit for someone else's work when she tries to bake the cookies herself, but cannot remember the recipe. Sue Ellen feels left out about not having a sibling, so she tries to pretend having her friends as siblings, but they each have their own flaws. During a playdate with D.W., Sue Ellen learns about the dangers of having a younger sibling and gets bullied by D.W. Soon after, Sue Ellen gets a letter from a boy named Tenzin living in Tibet, who becomes her pen pal.

Season 3

  • S03E01 Buster's Back & The Ballad of Buster Baxter

    • November 16, 1998

    Buster is returning to Elwood City (after leaving in the second season episode "Arthur's Faraway Friend"), and while Arthur is initially excited, he worries that Buster has changed during his travels. Fearing that Buster will find him lame after his exciting travels, Arthur reads books on the places Buster has visited. When Buster arrives, he says that he did not change and was looking forward to hanging out with Arthur, and the two play checkers. Buster feels left out because of the things he did not get to experience while he was away, while rumors about his travels cause his friends to consider him a snob. Arthur throws a surprise party for him, with everyone joining in to help, but when Buster does not show, Muffy thinks this affirms the rumors until they realize that they did not invite him at all. When Buster attends the party, he enjoys it and reunites with his friends. A singing moose narrates Buster's story throughout the episode.

  • S03E02 D.W. All Fired Up & I'd Rather Read It Myself

    D.W. is scared of the upcoming fire drill in her preschool, so her family names her a fire warden and runs fire drills in their house to ease her fears. During the fire drill, D.W. is able to calm her friends down and lead them outside safely. D.W. wants to prove to the Tibble twins that she can do something they cannot, so she pretends to read them a book, while instead making up a story about a D.W. lookalike named "B.W." Arthur thinks that the Tibbles will find out about D.W.'s trick, while D.W. is glad that she could be better than them for the day. The Tibbles ask to borrow the book, and when their grandmother reads it to them, they learn that it is instead about Leonardo da Vinci, but think it is a "magic book" that changes whenever it is read.

  • S03E03 Arthur Goes Crosswire & Sue Ellen and the Brainasaurous

    • November 18, 1998

    Arthur and Muffy are paired up for a class project about an animal of their choice. They choose to report on a whale and go whale watching as part of it. While at sea, Arthur and Muffy rescue famous actor Wilbur Rabbit, causing Arthur to copy Muffy's uptight behavior. Arthur's friends try to get him to change back to normal by imitating his behavior during a baseball game, and Arthur decides to stop copying Muffy. Set at the same time as the previous episode, Sue Ellen and Brain choose to build a dinosaur model for their animal project. Sue Ellen wants to help, but Brain refuses to let her, paranoid that her model will be inaccurate. When Brain ends up doing the entire project by himself and neglects to use Sue Ellen's model, they argue and end up dropping Brain's model; Sue Ellen turns this into a dig site exhibit, which gets them a good grade. Meanwhile, Francine is paired with Buster, who avoids her so he does not have to work.

  • S03E04 Background Blues & And Now Let's Talk to Some Kids

    The class is asked to research their ancestors for a school project. Muffy and Francine try to best one another with who their ancestors were, with Muffy believing that her family has descended from royalty, while Francine believes her ancestors are famous. Both separately become disappointed that their ancestors were just "plain folks." However, Francine's grandfather teaches her about an ancestor of hers who advised Abraham Lincoln to trim his beard, which Francine presents for the project. A TV show called The Magic Toolbox is coming to Mr. Ratburn's class to put the kids on television. The kids practice their various talents, but Brain is the only one with no interest in appearing on the show. When the rest of the class are interviewed on the show and struggle to answer the science questions they are given, Brain helps them.

  • S03E05 The Chips Are Down & Revenge of the Chip

    • November 20, 1998

    Arthur and Buster trick D.W. into thinking that the big, green potato chip she ate was poisonous. Rather than admit to eating it, D.W becomes friends with Binky, who had eaten one as well. Believing he is close to death, Binky is motivated to reveal his private passion of ballet, impressing his friends. When the story of D.W. believing a green potato chip is poison (from the previous episode) becomes a story in the newspaper, she promptly blames Arthur for telling about it. D.W. finds out that her mother is the one telling people about the story, and tells her how upsetting it is. Mrs. Read apologizes and promises not to repeat the story. D.W., in turn, apologizes to Arthur, who invites D.W. to a live show where Binky performs a ballet about his experience with eating a green chip. However, while waiting in line for the show to start, D.W. overhears her mother talking to Mrs. MacGrady about the newspaper article. D.W. runs to a nearby pier, where Binky is warming up for the ballet. Mrs. Read explains to D.W. why she was talking about the story. They reconcile and Mrs. Read agrees to not discuss the green chip article to protect her daughter. Arthur, D.W., and their mother enjoy Binky's ballet.

  • S03E06 Binky Rules & Meet Binky

    • November 23, 1998

    When graffiti reading "Binky Rules" mysteriously appears on the walls of the school, Binky is blamed for it. Buster and Fern act as detectives to prove Binky's innocence, but when Buster starts teasing Fern about her detective style, it makes matters worse. After listening to a song, they find out that the graffiti was caused by a local radio station promoting a new band called "BINKY." BINKY, the band from the previous episode, becomes a huge hit in Elwood City, and a concert is planned to expose a big secret about the band. Arthur is able to go backstage due to his father catering the concert, and worries that if he invites his friends, it will interfere with him befriending the band. He changes his mind and lets them come, thinking that it would be more fun to go with his friends. However, Arthur learns that BINKY is actually a group of holograms and is not real.

  • S03E07 Arthur Rides the Bandwagon & Dad's Dessert Dilemma

    • November 24, 1998

    Arthur does not approve of a new fad, cute toys called Woogles, but after seeing how popular they are, he tries to get one. After several failed attempts, he gets a Woogle from Grandma Thora, but then he starts playing with a bottle cap and starts a new fad. Arthur brings a cake his father made to a party in Mr. Ratburn's class celebrating Galileo's birthday. Everyone enjoys the cake, so Arthur brings in even more desserts to build his school popularity, unaware of the work he is imposing on his father until he sees that he made his father fall behind on a crucial order for Muffy's father. Arthur and D.W. then assist their father with his baking. Throughout the episode, Mr. Ratburn keeps using a spring reading list as an excuse to join Arthur's parties and eat his cakes.

  • S03E08 Popular Girls & Buster's Growing Grudge

    • November 25, 1998

    Francine inadvertently takes Catherine's backpack to the community center and discovers a magazine called Popular Girl. After taking a personality quiz, Sue Ellen and Fern change their personalities to be more "likable." Sue Ellen goes from being an expert to quiet and not speaking up, while Fern becomes loud and bossy, both causing chaos in their groups. Buster holds a grudge against Binky for telling a joke in class that Buster intended to tell. Arthur tries to console him before the grudge overtakes Buster. In the end, Buster settles his grudge by talking with Binky, who was unaware how upset Buster was.

  • S03E09 Arthur's Treasure Hunt & The Return of the King

    • November 26, 1998

    When Buster finds an ancient arrowhead in his mother's garden, Arthur digs up his backyard to find treasure, but his search quickly spreads to the front yard, where his mother told him not to dig. When she arrives home, she is disappointed and grounds Arthur for two weeks. Mr. Ratburn's class is at a medieval fair, competing for a trophy against a very intelligent class (who bear striking resemblances to Arthur and his classmates) led by Mr. Ratburn's former teacher, Mr. Pryce-Jones. Mr. Ratburn's class loses constantly until Arthur beats the other class in a "sword in the stone" challenge by figuring out the riddle the challenge's caller recites. Arthur is crowned king of the medieval fair, cheered on by both classes and congratulated by Mr. Pryce-Jones and Mr. Ratburn. Mr. Pryce-Jones realizes that Mr. Ratburn taught his class something he himself never did: to think for themselves.

  • S03E10 Attack of the Turbo Tibbles & D.W. Tricks the Tooth Fairy

    The Tibble twins watch a violent cartoon and start dressing and acting like the protagonists: a duo of superhero crime-fighting robots. They play roughly while pretending to fight crime and throw a swing into D.W.'s face, sending her to the emergency room. They apologize and agree not to watch the show anymore, and D.W. forgives them. D.W. wants a tooth pulled out so that she can get money from the Tooth Fairy to buy a toy barn for her unicorn doll. When her plans do not work, she tries to trick the Tooth Fairy with a fake tooth. Arthur replaces the tooth with his money, worried that the Tooth Fairy could be offended by the fake tooth.

  • S03E11 Double Tibble Trouble & Arthur's Almost Live Not Real Music Festival

    Tommy Tibble is sad and less active because Timmy is sick. Although D.W. and Emily would like to have the Tibbles less hyperactive, they try to help Tommy out by playing like a Tibble, but they are not as hyperactive as the twins. Arthur and Buster have an imaginary music festival, with the entire cast performing music videos of Library Card, Jekyll and Hyde, Leftovers Goulash, Homework, and Library Card: Reprise from the Arthur and Friends: The First Almost Real Not Live CD (or Tape) soundtrack record.

  • S03E12 What Scared Sue Ellen? & Clarissa is Cracked

    Sue Ellen, who dismisses Arthur, Buster, and Binky's scary stories, is frightened by a mysterious howl in the woods, which she thinks is Baba Yaga, a kappa, or a banshee. She enlists the help of Arthur, Buster, and Binky to investigate the ruckus. They find out that the howl is coming from Mrs. Woods' dog, Perky, who got stuck in a tree stump. D.W. borrows Grandma Thora's porcelain doll, Clarissa, and cracks the doll. She tries to fix Clarissa, and Arthur brings the doll to Mr. Ratburn to repair her.

  • S03E13 Arthur's Dummy Disaster & Francine and the Feline

    • December 30, 1998

    George's new ventriloquist's dummy, Wally, makes him popular and starts a short-lived ventriloquism fad at school. He starts acting less rationally as Wally begins falling apart, and Arthur tries to convince George that he does not need Wally to make friends. Francine's family gets a new cat, who Catherine tries to name "Rose Petal" and pampers him, but the cat grows fond of Francine and she renames him "Nemo". When she tries to show Nemo to her friends, Arthur is shown to hate cats and believes they are evil, which jeopardizes his friendship with Francine, especially when Nemo and Pal become play-pals.

  • S03E14 Mom and Dad Have a Great Big Fight & D.W.'s Perfect Wish

    When their parents have an accident with a pitcher of milk and a bowl of batter, D.W. and Arthur overhear them arguing and fear that the incident will split their family for good, fantasizing about what would happen if they were not in love anymore. D.W. is not excited about her fifth birthday when she is told by Emily that her childhood is over due to turning five. Arthur goes over events from previous episodes with D.W. to cheer her up and make her excited about her future. During her party, she cannot figure out what to wish for until she gets advice from Grandma Thora, so D.W. secretly wishes for Arthur to have an accident with her cake, which he does.

  • S03E15 Arthur and D.W. Clean Up & The Long, Dull Winter

    Arthur and D.W. need to clean their rooms and work together to get things done quicker. However, each is fussy about what stays and what goes and how it all goes together. Arthur and his friends are feeling different, but can not put a finger on it. They eventually realize that they have not had a holiday in a while, so they attempt to make a new one, but when the others are overcome by the commercial side of holidays, Arthur has to make them realize that holidays mean more than TV specials, candy, or fireworks.

Season 4

  • S04E01 D.W.'s Library Card & Arthur's Big Hit

    • October 5, 1999

    D.W. desperately wants a book at the library, and she has to learn how to write her name to get a library card. After she does get a library card, the book has already been taken out, and she struggles to wait for it to be returned. Having had enough of D.W., Arthur gets mad and hits her for tossing his model airplane out the window and breaking it, but nobody sees his side. Worse, when the Tough Customers hear about this, they dare Binky to hit him the next time he sees him.

  • S04E02 Hide and Snake & Muffy's New Best Friend

    • October 6, 1999

    Arthur and his friends find a snake in the woods and sneak it into Arthur's room with a shoe box. However, the snake gets loose in Arthur's house and Arthur learns he is not allowed to keep snakes in the house. To make matters worse, the kids cannot remember if it is a venomous coral snake or the similarly-colored, but harmless kingsnake. They try to find and get rid of the snake without Arthur's family noticing. Muffy and Francine are best friends, but Muffy does not like soccer and Francine does not like shopping. After Francine and Jenna discover that both of them like soccer, Muffy searches for a new best friend who likes the same activities as her, but none of them are perfect matches.

  • S04E03 Buster's Breathless & The Fright Stuff

    • October 7, 1999

    D.W. gets poison ivy while playing a game with Arthur and Buster and is worried about being teased by her classmates, so Buster tells a story about how he got asthma. When Buster learns that he has asthma, his friends start treating him differently, with Arthur scared that any dust could affect him, while Francine believes it is a contagious disease. Buster explains that he educated his friends by doing a science project about asthma, which helps D.W. feel better. Muffy and Francine play several pranks on Arthur, Buster, Binky, and Brain and invite them to a Halloween costume party at a haunted house. The boys get revenge on the girls at the party, but their pranks get unknowingly interrupted by real ghosts.

  • S04E04 The Contest & Prove It

    Arthur and his friends participate in a contest about writing for a TV show titled Andy and Company, and each come up with their own stories, believing theirs will win. Five years later, the results are in and the gang is shocked when they find out that a girl from Canadian, Oklahoma named Holly Holland has won. Wanting to prove to Arthur that she is smart, D.W. hangs around with Brain, watching Nova with him, and starts her own science fair that is full of untrue facts that Arthur cannot disprove, even with Brain's help. As a last resort, Arthur brings D.W. with him and Brain to a science museum to show her how things really work, and she then reveals to Arthur that this had been her plan all along.

  • S04E05 The Blizzard & The Rat Who Came to Dinner

    • October 11, 1999

    A blizzard hits Elwood City, and the townspeople lose power, forcing them to stay in the Read household, the only house that has power, but the Reads soon lose their power, too. Each family brings their supplies and food, allowing them to survive together. Meanwhile, Francine has to write a three-page school report on the pioneers, but she is unable to figure out what to write, until she realizes what the townspeople are going through is very similar to the pioneers' struggles. After his roof is damaged by snow, Mr. Ratburn stays at Arthur's house. Arthur is scared that it will be non-stop homework and teaching, only to find out Mr. Ratburn is more fun outside of school than he thought. When Arthur's friends tease him, saying that he has become a "teacher's pet," Mr. Ratburn says he plans on staying at Arthur's friends' homes, too, until his roof gets repaired.

  • S04E06 D.W. Tale Spins & Prunella Gets It Twice

    • October 12, 1999

    D.W. wants to prove to Arthur that she can tell a good story, and, after getting advice from Grandma Thora, retells the Odyssey in her own way. Prunella gets two dolls for her birthday and dismisses the second one, which is from Francine. Later, Prunella thinks that Francine spoiled the party by not joining in on the festivities. That night, Prunella has a dream where the Ghost of Presents Past takes her through time to clear things up and shows how far Francine went to get the doll for Prunella and makes her realize that Francine's attitude was because of how Prunella did not appreciate the present.

  • S04E07 Binky Barnes, Wingman & To Beat or Not to Beat

    Binky does a project on butterflies and becomes obsessed with catching a rare blue butterfly. After Sue Ellen shows him that butterflies are killed and pinned in museums, Binky lets his butterflies go to the wild instead. When Francine enters a talent show, her friends try to tell her that she sounds horrible when she sings and drums at the same time, even though she is a good drummer. After she hears a recording of herself, she realizes her friends are right, and at the talent show, she surprises them without her drum set as she sings very well.

  • S04E08 1001 Dads & Prunella's Prediction

    • October 14, 1999

    The Father's Day picnic at Elwood City is approaching, and Arthur and his friends try to find a substitute father for Buster while his own father is away. At the picnic, Buster arrives with his father in a hot air balloon, to the surprise of his friends. Prunella wants flash pants and her sister, Rubella, predicts that she is getting them for her birthday, only to be disappointed by a watch instead. and Prunella does not want to be seen without flash pants, since she told Muffy she was going to get them. Meanwhile, Arthur is afraid of being teased when wearing his father's old jacket because he has outgrown his old winter coat. Together, Prunella and Arthur realize that they do not have to hide because of what they wear.

  • S04E09 What is that Thing? & Buster's Best Behavior

    • October 15, 1999

    Arthur and his friends separately find the same metal bobbin but do not know its use, even though it helps them in different ways. Muffy retrieves her toy from a sewer, Francine ends her cat Nemo's fear of water, Brain uses the bobbin as a substitute wheel for his model plane, and even Buster gets the idea to write a story for his favorite TV show. They argue over it and find out that it is Mr. Ratburn's bobbin, and learn what it does at his puppet show. Buster is funny but wants to be good at something else, and Arthur wants to be funny like Buster, resulting in them acting like each other. Francine, Muffy, and Brain try to get them back to normal.

  • S04E10 My Music Rules & That's a Baby Show!

    The Elwood City Library is looking for a musician to perform for the children's show, and Francine's father suggests that they hire Joshua Redman, who is Francine's uncle and a musician who can play anything. Grandma Thora takes D.W to a concert, and she wants Yo-Yo Ma to play, leading to a conflict of preferred music until both musicians show that music styles do not matter. Arthur enjoys a show meant for kids younger than him, and his friends make fun of him for being a "baby." Arthur convinces them to watch the show as well, in which they all admit to liking it.

Season 5

  • S05E01 Arthur and the Big Riddle & Double Dare

    Arthur goes on the TV game show Riddle Quest against an intelligent contestant. In the final round, Arthur must decide between winning and staying with his friends. Arthur, Buster, Francine, and Brain resent the large amount of homework they are assigned. When Arthur sarcastically mentions he would skip school and not do his homework, Francine starts a large number of dares issued to skip school. However, the next morning, Arthur and Buster call Francine and Brain out of guilt and attempt to convince them to call off the dare, but Francine fails to receive the message and carries on with the dare. As a result, Arthur and Buster try to help her get in the school, but get caught and all three are given an extra homework assignment, while Francine is given detention for a week.

  • S05E02 Kids Are From Earth, Parents Are From Pluto & Nerves of Steal

    Lakewood Elementary is having an open house, and Sue Ellen is initially excited to introduce her parents, until she hears her friends tell stories about their parents being embarrassing, causing Sue Ellen to change her parents into more "normal people". However, when she realizes she's not letting her parents be themselves, she lets them go, and they become the life of the open house. Buster wants a Cybertoy, but they are too expensive. While he is at the store, he slips one into Arthur's backpack without him noticing. He feels guilty later, so he and Arthur try to return it with an apology note without getting into trouble. However, they accidentally leave the toy on and the manager calls Buster's mother, who grounds him for a month.

  • S05E03 It's a No-Brainer & The Shore Thing

    After losing a math contest to Buster when he cannot get over a question that he got wrong, Brain decides to start being funny instead of smart. Although they want to go to Aqualand, an exciting water park, Arthur, Buster, Binky, D.W., Sue Ellen, and Brain are instead brought to the beach, where Arthur's father tells them about Ocean Zone and leaves them to find it. They have fun at the beach and realize that the beach is Ocean Zone.

  • S05E04 The World Record & The Cave

    Arthur and his friends, after reading a world record book, try to set their own records. When they fail individually, they work together to make the world's largest pizza instead. The class is taking a field trip to a cave. Francine and D.W. tease Arthur that he is going to be afraid, even though he is sure he will not. When the class goes to the cave, Francine pays the price for her teasing when it is she and Mr. Ratburn who panic when they encounter bats, and it's up to Arthur, using tactics learned from his father to counter fear, to get the class safely out.

In the end, Arthur loses the race to Brain, but has his picture on the front page of the newspaper for helping Muffy up after she falls down.

Muffy takes the candidacy for class president seriously and a competitive campaign against Arthur ensues, reaching a fever pitch until a dark horse candidate, Binky, joins the election and wins. Annoyed by her new neighbor, Mrs. Pariso, Francine tries to get her to move by making a prank call to her, giving her a fake eviction notice, and scaring her with fake spiders, but nothing works. Eventually, Mrs. Pariso invites Francine over for tea and reveals that she was mean at first because she was lonely. The two soon learn they have a lot in common and become good friends.

    Buster believes it is his destiny to win a pizza-eating contest. However, he is too excited about the contest to sleep, until he encounters other contestants who share his excitement and anxiety. When Nemo acts strangely at the mention of Francine, Binky keeps him away from her, thinking she is a bad owner.

He tells them about a buried family treasure from their pirate ancestor, so Arthur and D.W. take the map and look for the treasure themselves. However, Grandpa Dave reveals the treasure was just made up as a story to entertain the kids.

    When their father's soufflé is found destroyed, Arthur and D.W. both explain their sides of the story: Arthur claims that D.W ran too fast into the kitchen and bumped into the table, while D.W claims that Arthur pushed her into the table. Muffy hangs out with Francine's sister, Catherine, because Francine is not mature enough for Muffy's favorite new magazine, meant for teenagers. Catherine's friends ridicule Muffy because of her misguided attempts at acting like a teen, and Catherine convinces Muffy that it's okay to still be a younger kid and to enjoy what she can do while she still can.

    Sue Ellen gets obsessed with a video game called Virtual Goose and forbids herself from playing it for a week. She struggles to resist the urge to play it when none of her friends can beat a mysterious challenger named Fourhand451. When Sue Ellen tries, she loses, and the challenger seems unbeatable, until D.W., who knows the game is a virtual version of her favorite board game, "Confuse the Goose", steps in to save the day. While playing a nonsensical Choose Your Own Adventure-esque game, Brain questions the game's knowledge of science and is challenged as to whether or not he could survive out in the wild, so he plans a camping trip. However, his friends and even Mr. Ratburn seem more interested in playing the game.

  • S06E02 Arthur Plays the Blues & Buster's Sweet Success

    Arthur's piano teacher is retiring, so he gets a strict new teacher, Dr. Fugue. When Arthur fails to practice sufficiently, Dr. Fugue fires Arthur. Wanting to be rehired, Arthur begins practicing the piece he was supposed to practice. Buster tries selling chocolates for a school fundraiser, but he ends up eating all of them. Since he does not have the money to pay for them, he opts to make and sell his own chocolates to pay off his debt, but they end up tasting awful. Mr. Haney gives Buster another chance by having him work in Jack's Joke Shop for a weekend.

When Mr. Read cannot find the figurine that goes on top of the wedding cake he made for Muffy's cousin's wedding, Kate and Pal work together to get the figurine on top of the cake before the wedding starts.

    Muffy's father is the new soccer coach, but the kids, especially Muffy, doubt his coaching methods.     Buster thinks he has seen UFOs, but Arthur, Fern, and Brain do not believe him. Buster borrows Muffy's telescope and finds a comet headed for Earth. A new family, the Molinas, move in next to the Reads after their neighbor, Mr. Sipple, moves away. The Molinas have two children, Alberto and Vicita. Arthur is worried that Alberto will be mean to him, while D.W. gets frustrated that Vicita wins at every game they play. They both find common ground with their new neighbors when they realize they share many common interests.

    Francine creates her own newspaper after shadowing Buster's mother at work and becomes a tabloid writer, taking out-of-context pictures of her friends with insulting captions. D.W. accidentally grabs the wrong backpack at the pool; due to most of the letters on the name tag having rubbed off, they spell out a nonsensical name, "Omble." Arthur and D.W. examine the contents of the backpack, and the mysterious "Omble" is later revealed to be Tommy Tibble.

D.W. is excited to be getting an allowance, but is upset once she learns that Emily and the Tibbles have already been getting an allowance and have more money. When she fails to get a bigger allowance, she pretends that she gets more money than they do since they do not know how much she gets.

  • S06E08 Rhyme for Your Life & For Whom the Bell Tolls

    Binky tries to write a poem for his mother's birthday, but he cannot think of the right words. That night, he has a dream where he finds himself in a village where it is against the law to speak in prose. The next morning, he unintentionally starts speaking in rhyme and continues to do so for the next week. Arthur is overjoyed that D.W. lost her voice, but is not so excited when he has to do what she wants him to do, especially when he has to be a translator. When he discovers that D.W. is better but continues faking, he gets his friends to come up with a plan to expose her fib by making her think she is deaf.

    Michelle Kwan is presenting the Athlete of the Year Award, and Jenna wins the award, which makes Francine very jealous and upset. With the help of Muffy, Francine tries to prove that she deserves the award by pretending to act like a good sport and giving Jenna special attention, but nothing works. Arthur develops a crush on his new babysitter, Sally, after playing a video game with her. He is devastated when he discovers that she has a boyfriend and refuses to see her again. However, when Buster invites Arthur over for a sleepover, Arthur discovers that Sally is babysitting for Buster. She tells Arthur that she enjoys playing video games more with him as her boyfriend is not good at video games.

  • S06E10 Arthur Loses His Marbles & Friday the 13th

    Muffy's new marbles prompt Arthur and his friends to start playing in a marbles tournament. Arthur is trained by Grandma Thora, a former professional marbles player herself, but when he discovers that he has to compete against Thora in the marbles tournament, he plays poorly on purpose. Thora forfeits when she finds out what is happening. Brain does not believe in superstitions and tries to prove his hypothesis by doing things superstitiously believed to bring bad luck, like walking under a ladder, stepping on a crack, and destroying a mirror. Counter to his hypothesis, a streak of bad luck strikes. Brain goes to Buster to get lucky charms, but during a baseball game on Friday the 13th, Brain forgets the charms and hits a home run that wins his team the game, proving his hypothesis.

However, her first trip is nothing like she imagined it would be as they go to an Ethiopian restaurant and listen to a poetry slam.

When their father catches a cold as well, they try to fix their mistakes, fearing that they will have to learn to take care of things if their parents stay ill. Their worries are cured when Grandma Thora arrives to help out.

  • S07E09 Prunella Sees the Light & Return of the Snowball

    Prunella invites Marina over for a sleepover. However, she is worried that Marina may get injured because she is blind. Marina dislikes the special treatment Prunella is giving her, and Prunella learns to treat Marina just like any other friend. D.W. finds that her snowball has returned (from the season 1 episode "D.W.'s Snow Mystery") and tries to prevent it from being stolen again. After an investigation by Brain, Arthur confesses that the snowball is actually an unflavored snow cone and that the real snowball is still lost, and that he got the fake snowball hoping D.W would end being bothered by the real one missing.

When Alberto explains to Arthur that everything in the comic is inaccurate, Arthur apologizes to Adil and they both realize they actually have a lot in common. Bitzi, Buster's mother, announces to Buster that she is breaking up with her boyfriend, Harry. Buster, thinking he will never get to spend time with Harry again, is devastated, so he creates a plan to reunite them, but it backfires. After his mother explains he can still be friends with Harry, Buster feels better.

  • S08E02 Fernfern and the Secret of Moose Mountain & Thanks a Lot, Binky

    During a trip to Moose Mountain, Francine is determined to beat her record of three hours to the top, but she gets frustrated when she is paired with Fern, who has no experience with mountain-climbing. Disaster strikes when Francine's impatience leads to her losing the map and Fern getting stuck in a muddy bog. Francine manages to beat her record, but her father gets mad at her for acting inconsiderate towards Fern and grounds her. Binky saves Rattles from getting injured in a dangerous stunt, but Rattles is not grateful and refuses to thank Binky. Soon after, Binky tries doing good deeds to get someone to thank him, but nobody does. That night, he dreams what the world would be like if he was not kind.

  • S08E03 Arthur's Snow Biz & Bugged

    Arthur and Buster start a snow-shoveling business, but an argument over splitting the money leads to them separating and competing for customers. After working hard for ridiculously low fees and getting blisters, they give Muffy their jobs and reconcile. Brain annoys his friends by constantly correcting them, and they call him a pest. After he has a dream where he becomes a bug to see how his friends really see him, he decides to never help them again, but soon learns that it might not be the best solution to his problem.

    Fern tells Arthur, Buster, and Muffy a scary story, but they find it disturbing. Nobody wants to be near Fern because of her story, so she tries creating one that is fun instead of frightening. They decide to do a dance for their project, but teaching D.W. how to dance proves to be a handful for Binky. Things get worse when Molly and Rattles tease him and he twists his ankle. However, D.W. dances successfully in front of everyone, much to Binky's delight.

  • S08E05 Vomitrocious & Sue Ellen Chickens Out

    When Francine and her friends tease George due to his constant nosebleeds, she suddenly vomits in front of everyone, and worries that her friends will make fun of her and constantly avoids them. Francine continues to feel nauseous until she stands up for George when he tells her everyone teases him but not her since she is popular. Mr. Manino, the Sugar Bowl manager, announces that he is retiring and plans to sell the shop to a fast-food chain. Sue Ellen is dismayed by this change and starts a rally for her friends to go on strike and save the Sugar Bowl, but it backfires when everyone except her cannot stay on track. In the end, after recalling the good times he had at the Sugar Bowl with Grandma Thora, Mr. Manino changes his mind and decides to keep the shop open, much to Sue Ellen's delight.

    The tree house collapses due to the weight of snow on it, so Arthur and his friends come up with their own designs to re-build it, while getting help from Frank Gehry. The school choir is excited about performing at a recital in Crown City. However, their regular teacher, Ms. Krasny, gets sick, and Arthur's strict piano teacher, Dr. Fugue, substitutes for her.

Emily eventually decides to tell the truth and D.W. forgives her.

    When the Tibble twins get a set of drums and decide to perform the Summer Serenade Festival, D.W. wishes that she has an instrument of her own to play, and, with inspiration from Arthur, Buster, Francine, and Fern, she ultimately creates her own kinetic instrument. Arthur and Buster go to investigate a rumor that tigers are loose in the park. This turns out to be an experiment by Brain, who wanted to see if anyone would believe a seemingly true internet rumor with no leads. Brain's story leads to Arthur and Buster solving a mystery about dogs disappearing from the park.

Fortunately, with advice from Jenna, who is allergic to milk, Binky discovers that there are many ways to cope with his allergy, and finds a restaurant that serves peanut-free Chinese food. After scoring a B-minus on a test, Brain thinks it may be caused by the Breezy Listening CD playing in his parents' ice cream shop. Despite suggestions from his friends, he is unable to find music for the store that satisfies everyone. Soon after, Brain gets a better grade on his next test, and accepts that the CD did not impact his performance.

At first, Francine is irritated, but soon warms to the activity when she discovers that she and George are great together at ballroom dancing. The two are so good that they're soon invited to attend a big competition, much to the disdain of both Muffy and Binky.

Brain soon cottons on to what's happening, but also begins to realize what may really be troubling Buster.

When he learns that his best-friend Buster prefers it over The Bionic Bunny Show, he fears their friendship may be at an end. He's determined, though, to maintain that friendship, even if it means taking drastic measures, such as becoming a fan of this supermarket show himself...

Nevertheless, he and D.W. are excited when Grandma Thora offers the use of her attic as a clubhouse, but have trouble deciding how to split it. The two struggle with a timeshare agreement, but find themselves facing potentially a bigger problem when a bat is discovered roosting in the attic.

Spurred on by a vision, he begins an effort to have a memorial plaque created. He gets the help of Mr. Ratburn and a local history effort, but finds his friends more interested in the affairs of modern-day celebrities.
