Australia By Design is a unique architectural show that exhibits the very best projects from across the country. Each state and territory gets to show off their best pieces of architecture, which spans across residential homes, office spaces, public places and more. A jury of the most senior and advanced architects, engineers, suppliers, property lawyers and other adjacent fields come together to rank the projects from 10 to one, awarding the top prize to a project that is deemed Australia’s architectural statement of the year. Each property is a contender to be in the finale episode, counting down the very best of the best architectural statements of the year. The judges are looking for certain things, like how the architecture speaks to its climate and landscape, whether the architect adhered to the owner’s vision, if the architect adhered to financial budgets and products used are conducive to protecting the environment.
