I'm not saying you're modifying your car wrong but... you're doing it wrong. 'Slammed' on coilovers is a joke of a way to get about on UK roads.. have you seen the condition they're in!? What's the solution... how do you modify and lower your suspension but without making it undrivable? With my Daily driver, the Saab 9-3, in need of a suspension refresh, it's the perfect opportunity to upgrade and makes things better than stock, we're after better road handling and durability but as I do a lot of miles, the ride comfort needs to stay sensible. We're not setting lap times on the M6 after all...
My Saab 9-3 does all of the filming work for the channel, with thousands of miles being driven every year it's always good to take a moment to see how the car's running, They're not exactly new cars and over time, parts wear out... In this case, the car has done over 126,000 miles and is 17 years old! That's borderline classic car surely. The question, therefore, is how much power has been lost over the cars lifetime? Surely it's not running as good as new. Or is it... maybe even better? Let's find out...

Hidden away in Norfolk sits an abandoned RAF airfield. Fersfield was built in 1943 and it was here that the mad idea of Operation Aphrodite was conceived. In short, flying remote control B17 bombers! Bristol is lovely city full of artistic graffiti but we're not interested in any of that. Today we look at England's steepest road - Vale Street. It's may not be the longest but for sure, with a 21 degree incline, it's rather steep indeed. The local residents use this to their advantage and every year host an eater egg rolling race. Because that's what you do... right!?

In this episode we look at possibly the smallest roundabout in the UK, and also, the smallest double yellow lines... measuring in at mere inches.
Today we're exploring the historically interesting Holy Island and Lindisfarne. With it's castles, viking heritage and ancient ruins, it's a fantastic place to visit. However, there is a problem... access to the island can only be made at certain times of day for you see, the only road you can use will be submerged under several metres of sea water at high tides. Many people have attempted last minute crossings and almost always have come to regret that decision. No clickbait, A Sepecat jaguar really did land on the M55 motorway! The M55 runs from Preston to Blackpool and it seems for the most part, it was built to plan without any major issues. That's a rarity. The M55 does have a few secrets though.. for a while it was part of the first motorway built in the UK and with construction of a new junction underway, you could say the motorway has been unfinished since it's conception in the late 50s. The M67 isn't very long at only 5 miles but at one stage it was destined to be one of the most complex motorways on our network. In the 60s they wanted to create a trans-pennine motorway and the M67 was the ideal candidate allowing for a connection between Manchester and Sheffield. If you're familiar with the M67 motorway, you'd know that they fell short somewhat of achieving this goal. Was that a good thing or not? What the M67 does offer, is a small tightly packed urban motorway that divides towns down the middle, there's a hint of what could have been still lingering but for the most part the M67 goes about it's business with minimal fuss.

Back in Manchester... again. I don't seem to be able to escape. In this episode we're exploring the M602 motorway, which you've probably not heard of and I wouldn't blame you given it's so short. The M56 is Cheshire's main motorway. It links Chester with Manchester stopping at some large and important industries along the way. The M56 certainly wins the award for more bizarre junctions with several featuring unique design layouts that boggle the mind. The M876... No, I hadn't heard of it either. It's a small yet fairly key link for the M80 and M9 motorways. The M73 motorway is only 7 miles long with a handful of junctions. Despite this, it provides an important link for Glasgow between the M80, M74 and M8 motorways. Without it, it would all go wrong. The M898.... The highest number of all the motorways, yet the shortest motorway in the UK with an M designation. It's just about a mile long and has one junction that no longer serves the purpose it was intended for. There's also a massive bridge, and whilst technically not on the motorway, you can't really miss it, and without it, there's a good chance the M898 may not have been built. The A74M motorway is the gateway to Scotland from England, without it, you'd have no other options. The thirty four mile M9 Motorway connects Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh to Stirling with a stop off at Falkirk along the way. It first opened in 1965 making it one of the older motorways in Scotland, but it would still be getting work done as late as 2023. Hello up North... it's been a while. I'm returning to Greater Manchester to look at a short and perhaps fairly unknown motorway, the A627M. It connects Rochdale and Oldham, former mining and cotton towns.. because North of England. The A1077M... in North Lincolnshire, it looks an awful lot like the M181, something is amiss... This motorway was built years ago, but didn't exist until 2021 which makes for quite a bizarre story.
