The M73 motorway is only 7 miles long with a handful of junctions. Despite this, it provides an important link for Glasgow between the M80, M74 and M8 motorways. Without it, it would all go wrong. It runs from Maryville to Mollinsburn and we'll be travelling the length of this motorway to see what we can discover. I can barely contain my excitement... steel box girder bridges, old collieries, abandoned quarries and some proper motorway discussion. In this series we aim to explore what our motorway network is hiding. As we drive along at 70mph..ish...we simply just wouldn't be aware of what we're missing. This series aims to uncover some of the hidden secrets our motorways have to offer.
