Surely no one knows about this motorway.. it's short and looks more like a set of sliproads than a motorway. But it turns out, it's a failed project, or should I say changed project. The A823M is a mere left over of a grander scheme but there's a slim chance this borderline not a motorway may one day be extended, but not by much. Despite all this, there's some interesting features to be found along it's 1.5 mile length and of course, I'll be pointing them all out. In this series I aim to explore what our motorway network is hiding. As we drive along at 70mph..ish...we simply just wouldn't be aware of what we're missing. This series will uncover some of the hidden secrets our motorways have to offer.
