    A near-perfect ‘50s Chevy panel van and a very desirable low-mileage ‘80s Brooklands Capri tempt auctioneer Derek out of Yorkshire, but traffic chaos on the way to Wales puts him way behind schedule. "I can't be late, I've got no pyjamas" ...says a worried Derek as he realises he is going to have to overnight across the border. Safely back in Yorkshire, he evaluates the cars ahead of the auction - two of the best he has seen. The vehicles' owners have high expectations, the reserves are top end - and the auction is days away. Paul picks up a stunning Matchless Model X motorbike which attracts a lot of pre-auction attention from some vintage motorcycle fans, and Derek and grandson Charlie spend the day at Stokesley Classic Car Show. It's not a relaxing day out for the pair as they've been set a monumental task - valuing the 200 classic cars.

To keep pace, the Mathewsons introduce their new "multiple classic collection plan", much to the amusement of office manager Sarah. Dave sets off to collect a Triumph TR6, a Lotus Cortina and a Mini Mayfair wedding car and bring them back to the auction house. The team heads to The Wirral for a rare survivor, a DAF 33 from the ‘70s. "It's a car that had a bit of an image issue back in the day, but it also had a gearbox ahead of its time," says Derek - as everyone tries to explain how it works before the car is auctioned off.

    Derek rubs shoulders with pop music royalty when he picks up a Morgan sports car, a World War Two ambulance arrives at Thornton le Dale and a Ford Model T needs a new home. Derek collects a Morgan sports car that belongs to singer and guitarist Joe Brown. Joe's moving on his 1982 Morgan Plus 8. It's all in a day's work for Derek, who's already had a day of hobnobbing with rock and roll royalty. On the back of his trailer is a 1979 Clenet roadster that he's just picked up from the drummer in the heavy metal band Motorhead. Back at base Chris Carter has just dropped off his wartime Austin K2 ambulance. The vehicle was used on the South Coast to transport wounded soldiers from the ships to hospital. Also making an appearance is a 1915 Ford Model T that belongs to Ray and Tracy Knox. They're hoping that someone else will fall in love with their very original motor that's one of the most influential cars ever made. Derek's a big fan - not just of the car - but of Henry Ford's penny-pinchi

Paul has also lined up a day collecting some exceptional cars including a 1955 Ford Zephyr convertible, and back at base, Dave thinks about buying the DVLA "Repo" lorry that has just pitched up. "You can make some money with this," he says, "just use the crane, pick up the cars and off you go - job done. Trouble is it will crush the roof."

Back at the garage, a Ford Sierra Sapphire 2000E in near mint condition is dropped off for the auction, Jack enjoys some classic tunes from a Scottish bagpiper and young Charlie shows off his new rally car.

Meanwhile, a 3-litre V6 Ford Capri complete with roll cage, is wheeled out for the first time in nearly 40 years. And a serial car buyer from Lichfield finds he can't say no to a stunning 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. The car, dating from the late 1960s, has been lovingly restored, and all it took was one look for Wayne to fall in love and buy it. Derek too is bowled over by its charm: "when you get one as nice as this, they do hit you".
