Lucinda Batanete, vinte anos emigrada na Alemanha, está de regresso ao Samouco com os seus dois filhos, Carla e Hugo. Os pais reformaram-se há muito e foram viver para Trás-os-Montes. Na vila natal de Lucinda continua a viver o irmão Toninho, agora agente da PSP, como o pai foi. Casou com Bé, cabeleireira, que ficou à frente do estabelecimento outrora de Fifi.
