Megan just tells Mitch that she took an extra long work out. But Mitch is suspicious and when the same man attacks a French stewardess, he tells her she isn't the right one. Harvey rescues the stewardess. When Mitch finds out what the fisherman said, he starts thinking about Megan. When Megan starts having nightmares about the incident, she tells Mitch the truth. In order to catch the fisherman, Megan acts as bait. But when Mitch and Garner head towards the restroom to capture a man they think is the fisherman, the real one drags Megan under the pier.     Mitch is having financial problems, so he and Eddie moonlight, life-guarding at a private party for movie-people. After a daring rescue, the star Larry Brooks is injured. And impressed by Mitch's heroic skills during the rescue, Dita, the producer offers Mitch a part in her new movie. During the filming on the beach, Mitch can't remember his lines and the filming is not going very well. But that is only until a drug-crazed man starts attacking people on the nearby bike path. While Mitch is fighting with the man, the cameras are rolling and everything turns out into a perfect action scene for the movie. Harvey pretends to be Mitch's agent. He manages to get a ""pay or play"" clausule into Mitch's contract. When Dita comes onto Mitch and wants to sleep with him, he rejects the offer. However, no one wants to pay for the pier's demolition. But Kaye is persuaded by her father Ellis Morgan to hold off on the story. Her father's law firm is representing the owners of the pier. Meanwhile, Mitch and Hobie attend an annual ceremony that strives to invoke good waves of surfing. At the ceremony, they are reunited with Mitch's brother Buzz and his unknown son Kyle. Buzz has just found out about Kyle. Kyle lost his mother in a car-crash. She was driving her motorcycle when it happened and Kyle was right behind her. Kyle encourages Hobie to join him for some surfing at the San Dimas Pier. By doing so, Hobie doesn't show up for Junior Lifeguards.     When Eddie tries to break up a gang fight on the beach, he his hit unconscious by one of the gang-members. Then suddenly out of nowhere, John D. Cort arrives on his motorcycle. He knocks down the gang-members and help Eddie out of the water. Eddie is surprised to see him and so are Mitch, Shauni and Barnett. Instead of sending the gang-members to jail, they arrange for them to join the W.A.T.E.R. program. The W.A.T.E.R. program is a lifeguard organized program which introduces inner-city youth to aquatic activities. The tough guy in the gang, Memo, won't admit that he is having a good time on the scarab, and he leaves when his father comes to pick him up. But Eddie is determined to get Memo back into the program. Therefore, he and Cort visit Memo and Carlos at their house. While Eddie tries to convince Memo to rejoin the program, Cort and Carlos end up fighting. Eddie and Cort end up leaving without Memo, but then they are surprised to see him and his friends in the back of the truck.

    When Eddie arrives to his tower one morning, he is surprised to find a homeless man there. When Eddie tries to get rid of him, the homeless man attacks Eddie with a shard of glass and steals a picture of Shauni. Mitch tells him that the homeless man is named Hector Clay, also known as Hector ""The Collector"". He was released from the mental hospital because of funding cuts. Meanwhile, Hobie meets a homeless girl named Charlie. When she loses her harmonica, Hobie gives it back to her. That night when Charlie is asleep in an abandoned power plant, Hector steals her journal. The journal is Charlie's most precious thing. She and her mom shares it. When Charlie's mom doesn't show up when she is supposed to, Charlie gets worried. Later, Mitch arrives and he brings Charlie home. Mitch finds Charlie's mom at the police station.     After helping the firemen put out a fire, Mitch, Harvey and Brooke find a little dog in the water. Mitch rescues the dog and after that, the dog doesn't want to leave Mitch. He brings the dog home and Hobie gets all excited and names the dog Sandy. When Hobie goes to stay at a friend's house for the night, Mitch plans to have a romantic dinner with his girlfriend Kelly. But Sandy keeps disturbing them and Kelly ends up leaving. When Kelly has left the house, Mitch can't get any sleep so he goes down-stairs to the laundry room and asks Sandy what's wrong. Then before Mitch knows it, Sandy runs out of the room and knocks down a surfboard in front of the laundry room. Mitch is trapped and he is forced to spend the night in the laundry room while Sandy sleeps in his bed. The next day, Mitch doesn't want to take care of Sandy anymore, so he gives him to Garner. Allison loses control over her car and ends up driving off the edge off a cliff. Mitch and Eddie are in the scarab and head for the rescue immediately after the car has hit the water.     The episode start with Mitch, Newmie and Heinz rescuing a man that is trapped under a big rock with his leg. Mitch is being terrorised by a drug lord named Mason Sato, whom he helped imprison five years ago. Sato is now a free man and follows Mitch around everywhere he goes. At first, Mitch endures the intimidation, but when Sato goes surfing with Hobie, Mitch punches Sato and finds himself up on assault charges. Sato uses the opportunity to kidnap Kaye and Hobie. He takes them to an abandoned warehouse down in the marina. When Mitch comes home and finds Sato's note, he goes to the warehouse. When Mitch shows up, Sato launches an attack using a dangerous Samurai sword. But when the fight moves into the water, Mitch gets the upper hand and knocks out Sato. Lili is brought back to safety by Mitch. Mitch is determined to find this mysterious Hawaiian guy. He goes to visit an old Hawaiian friend of his. He tells him that it was Sonny Paalua, son of the recently drowned surfing great Duke Paalua. Meanwhile, Kaye offers to teach Lili sign language. Her mother Sharon doesn't want anyone to treat her child differently. But Kaye tells her that Lili is different. Sharon agrees to give it a try. He torches Eddie's tower and then keeps saying Sumo all the time. When Lyle Connors finds out about the incident, he tells Eddie about the drug and that they have been trying to arrest the dealers for a long time without any luck. The drug manufacturers have set up a floating drug laboratory offshore as an attempt to evade the police. The name of the boat is Sumo. Eddie and Connors along with the Coast Guard set out to investigate, but two speedboats try to escape.     After receiving a letter from Craig about a great job with some sacrifices, Mitch goes out paddling to think it over. He comes across a boy named Cooper, whose father Hal is trapped 90 feet below the ocean, underneath a sunken wreck. Hal only has fifteen minutes of air left. Mitch calls it in and Shauni tells him that the Coast Guard along with Eddie and Newmie are on their way. But after waiting impatiently for 10 minutes, Mitch decides to go down without any scuba gear. It's a tremendous struggle but Mitch manages to get Hal to the surface. Inside the Coast Guard helicopter, both men are flown to Catalina Island, where there are two decompression chambers. However, when they arrive, they discover that only one chamber is functional. Mitch insists that Hal will be placed in the functional decompression chamber. In order to save Mitch's life, they have to fly him to Baywatch headquarters. But the delay can be fatal. When they decide to go for a swim, a shark attacks Debbie and she disappears. Mitch and Ben recover Debbie's shredded bathing suit. The cove where Debbie disappeared is called Shark's Cove. The cove got that name ten years earlier when a bunch of shark attacks took place there. When Shauni and Harvey find a weight belt under a buoy near the place where Debbie disappeared, Shauni starts wondering if Debbie is dead after all. Meanwhile, a poet named Ian has a crush on Shauni. He writes her poems. He always carry around a metal detector, and one day he finds the stolen jewelry. He buys Shauni 137 roses with some of the money. When Beggs and Clark can't find the jewelry, they start fighting and Newmie has to break up the fight. Later, Newmie and Eddie find Clark in the water. He is dead and they see that he has been strangled. When Shauni finds out about the jewelry, she goes to Ian and finds out that he has them. But Mitch doesn't want to break the law. When Hobie and his friend Brenda are out on their bikes, Brenda loses control over her bike and falls into a lagoon. Hobie has to rescue her. Later. when Hobie and Lane are driving go-carts, Hobie crashes. Mitch finds out that he has a very high temperature, and so does Brenda. Lane tells Mitch to bring Hobie to the hospital, because he has been poisoned by some chemicals. Meanwhile, Lane springs to action and meets with his contact Jeff, from Transicon. But Jeff is a bad guy himself, and he knocks Lane unconscious and he places Lane next to a bomb that is about to explode. Lane wakes up just in time to get away from there.     Harvey has been seeing a fortune teller named Rosalind for quite some time. Almost everything she has told him, has happened. Therefore, Eddie and Shauni pay Rosalind a visit. Rosalind predicts that Eddie will meet his first true love. She assures him that it's not Shauni. Eddie doesn't believe this at first, until one day when he spots a woman on a sailing-boat drawing just like the woman he had a relationship with back in 1985. Her name is Lorna Cosgrove. Eddie tracks down the sailing boat, but when he meets Lorna she denies knowing him and tells him that her name is Caitlin. Her boyfriend Roger is also on the boat. Eddie leaves but the next day, he receives a painting from a boy. This was the painting Lorna drew that year on Nantucket Island. He sees her on the jetty and goes to talk to her. She tells him that she couldn't reveal her true self while Roger was on board. Apparently, he doesn't know everything about her past. However, Lorna is in trouble and she asks Eddie to remember

Ben meets her first and suspects that Mitch isn't going to like this. When Mitch sees her, he becomes upset and calls Chief Thorpe. Thorpe tells Mitch that it's up to him to decide if she can stay or not. Both Mitch and Stephanie has flashbacks back to 1989 when they first meet. Stephanie was substituting for Jill back then. He met her in the men's locker room. They had a little romance and decided to spend a weekend together in Catalina. But Stephanie never showed up and Mitch was upset for a long time. Now, Stephanie tells him that her ex-husband came to her and wanted her back. She accepted this and left Mitch behind. Mitch and Stephanie rescue a man together and Mitch realizes that she is a good lifeguard. He writes a letter to Chief Thorpe that she can stay. Meanwhile, Matt is ordered to patrol on

    The episode starts with Mitch driving a lifeguard truck on the beach. Suddenly he sees something in the water and calls it in requesting all available units. But the victim turns out to be a paper bag. So about 20 lifeguards was sent to rescue a paper bag. Later when Mitch enters the shower, everybody is wearing a paper bag. Rookie school begins. Guido, an Italian guy wants to become a lifeguard and he bothers Mitch. When Guido enters the meeting room, he sees the terrible mess there and decides to clean the place up. When Stephanie enters, she thinks that everything in the room is new, but Guido has just polished it a bit extra. In the real rookie competition, the rookies are competing in a race called the Gauntlet. And they also race the Gauntlet for practice. When Summer has climbed up to the top of the pier and is about to jump, she chickens out and has to walk back to the beach.     Slade is surfing under a pier and everybody adores him for it. Hobie who likes a girl named Heather tries to imitate Slade just so that he can impress her but Hobie's friend Landon tries to talk him out of it. But Hobie goes surfing anyway and falls under the pier. Mitch has to rescue him with Summer's help. When the rescue is completed, Summer's truck starts rolling down the beach and Mitch has to rescue a woman and gets a slap in the face as a thank you. Summer apologizes to Mitch and it turns out that she forgot the parking brake just because Slade was there. Slade invites her to the surfing competition he is going to compete in. Summer tells Jackie she has a date with Slade. After the competition that Slade wins, Summer meets Courtney Bremmer and Tiara English from Malibu Beach High School. She makes a fool of herself when she tells them that she has a date with Slade, when he has a date with another girl, and Summer gets real upset. Later she meets Courtney and Tiara on the beach.

    The summer is over and school is about to begin. When Slade surfs in the water near the Bremmer's land, Courtney makes a move on him and offers him a sponsor. She spends a lot of time with him at school and Summer gets jealous. When Slade and Summer share a passionate kiss at Matt's beach party, Courtney interrupts them. But Slade has shown her where his feelings are. One day, Slade's father Nicholas pays him a visit. He tells Slade that he will resign from the army and settle down in California. Slade tells him that he will do fine without having him around. Then Nicholas pushes him and tells him to stay in school no matter what, because he can't live on his surfing and then he breaks his surf-board in half.     When Matt is out driving his motorcycle on the cliffs above Malibu, a woman on a motorcycle drives by him. He follows as the mystery girl with flowing blonde hair and a knockout body, races down Point Dume Road. But Matt can't catch up with her and she leaves him in the dust. Now Matt is wondering who she is and where she comes from. Then back on the beach, he sees her again. This time, she asks a guy named Hudson if he wants to race her at Point Dume Road. The winner can keep both bikes. He accepts and then he drives away from her with his gang. Later the mysterious girl goes down to the beach and Matt asks her out. They have a wonderful time together, but when Matt wakes up in the morning, she is gone. The next day, when the mysterious girl is leading the race, Hudson throws a chain around her back tire. Then she falls down into the water. Mitch and Stephanie who are out swimming, see the accident and swim to the rescue. They rescue her and then Matt finds out that her name is Jessie

    When Mitch and Newmie are in a boat race in Ben's scarab, C.J. comes into the race orbit and their opponents almost runs her over. Mitch and Newmie are forced to stop and see how she's doing. Lewiston is engaged to a princess named Catherine and she wants a taste of the real world before she gets married. Mitch and Catherine falls in love and she tells him she can't get in contact with her friends. Later when Hobie is looking in some newspapers, he finds out that Catherine is a princess.     A massive earthquake shakes up the southland. Cort and Craig go diving and when they return to the boat, they discover that two fishermen on another boat are dead. Then Cort smells poisonous gas and they swim away from the boat. When there's an aftershock, they get trapped inside a cave. Mitch and Garner locate them from a helicopter and Mitch has to use dynamite to get them out. Gina is up on the roof, repairing the damage the earthquake caused, when the aftershock comes. She falls down through the roof and is trapped under something heavy, with sharp pieces of glass hanging in the roof right above her, just waiting to fall down on her. But when Hobie and Rocky arrive, Hobie is able to save her just in time. Garner has to make a rescue and get wet because there's a boy in trouble on some rocks. Mitch teases him about it.
