One on One

Brandona příjíždí navštívit Sheryl, jeho holka z Minnesoty. Brandon tak přichází o panictví. Brandon žárlí a myslí si, že Dylan Sheryl svádí. Nakonec zjišťuje, že Sheryl má problémy v rodině a že utekla z domova. Brenda je zamilovaná do svého učitele a jde mu hlídat jeho protivné děti.

Jim encourages Brandon to try out for the basketball team. Steve, unaware that he is terrible, is bitter about being cut from the team. He tells Brandon that several of the players are ringers brought in from out of district to help the team win a championship. Andrea, whom Brandon had asked to investigate, discovers that the player competing against Brandon for the last spot on the roster is from another district. Brandon is ashamed of himself when he learns that the player came to West Beverly to get a good education; his father is a city employee, making him eligible for admission. Brenda enrolls in driver's education, despite the fact that she failed three times in Minneapolis. Kelly is stranded after a concert and begs for a ride, so Brenda takes Brandon's car without permission. She runs out of gas and manages to lose the car. Brandon prova ad entrare nella squadra di basketball, ma sospetta che alcuni giocatori siano stati presi nella squadra solo per vincere le partite dal momento che molti di loro non sono del distretto di Beverly Hills. Andrea ne scrive un articolo sul giornale scolastico, ma la squadra smentisce tutto. Brenda studia per prendere la patente, ma fallisce l’esame due volte. Una sera, andando da Kelly, prende di nascosto l’auto di Brandon ma rimane senza benzina...

Dziewczyna odkrywa, że kandydat, z którym Brandon konkuruje o ostatni wakat w drużynie, rzeczywiście nie jest uczniem ich szkoły. Brenda zapisuje się na naukę jazdy, niezrażona tym, że w Minneapolis trzykrotnie oblała egzamin. Kelly nie ma możliwości powrotu do domu po koncercie i prosi Brendę o pomoc. Ta bez pytania pożycza samochód brata.

Brandon decide incorporarse al equipo de baloncesto, pero se da cuenta que en él juega mucha gente que no estudia en el instituto, Steve le confía que eso lo hacen para poder ganar los partidos. Andrea quiere hacer un reportaje sobre ello para el periódico escolar. Brenda debe ir a buscar a Kelly con el coche de Brandon, algo que le disgusta, además se quedará sin gasolina antes de llegar.

Brandon tenta entrar para o time de basquete e disputa uma vaga com Steve. Mas descobre que a escola facilita a vida de certos jogadores, e tenta decidir se deve ou não publicar uma reportagem sobre isso. Brenda continua tentando aprender a dirigir e acaba perdendo o carro de Brandon quando ia pegar Kelly.
