Alexei Vyazintsev dreams of a career in Hollywood and works part-time as an animator at children's parties. After learning about the sudden death of his father, long gone from the family, Alexei goes to his hometown to sell the inherited apartment. There he will find himself in the center of incredible events and encounter a secret organization whose members believe that the books of a forgotten Soviet writer contain magical power.
