Η Αμαλία ζει στη Χαλκίδα, μαζί με τη μητέρα της, Ολυμπία, τον παππού της, Μάνθο και τον πατέρα της, Νότη Παρίση.Η Αμαλία, που εργάζεται ως φοροτεχνικός και λογίστρια, παντρεύεται πολύ νωρίς έναν πρώην συμμαθητή της, τον οποίο, επίσης πολύ νωρίς, χάνει σε δυστύχημα. Κάποια στιγμή γνωρίζει τον Ανέστη, με τον οποίο αποφασίζουν να παντρευτούν. Όταν, όμως, η Αμαλία συναντά τον αδελφό του Ανέστη, Νικόλα, προκύπτει ένας ξαφνικός έρωτας που ανατρέπει τα πάντα. Και που δεν είναι ο μοναδικός στην ιστορία…
