Formed in Helsinki, Finland in 1993 by four classically trained musicians in a nod to their favorite band, Metallica. Over the past 25 years Apocalyptica has innovated a neoclassical Heavy Metal style without the use of conventional guitars and bass. Their uniquely symphonic concept of heaviness has garnered a staggering six million units in records sales and supports a worldwide touring schedule.
