Poot No. 1, the fart-powered robot that Grandpa invented, has made headlines overseas, so Grandpa begins to build Poot No. 2, a rocket-type. He believes that if Poot No. 2 can find a habitable planet, the problem of overpopulation will be solved! The power of farts will save the planet!
After a fight with his mom, Fatton runs away from home. As he's sulking, a trucker comes along and invites Fatton aboard his truck for a drive that proves to be both thrilling and valuable.
The kids are given a homework assignment to walk around the neighborhood and make a map of the things they find. As they begin their exploration of the town, they come across all kinds of interesting places, like a fruit stand whose owner knows all the town gossip and even a mysterious haunted house. What kinds of maps will they come up with?
Mr. Gab announces that the school will be holding a bazaar to raise money for a school pool, and the students are to bring items from home that they no longer need... but on the day of the bazaar, none of the items brought in are selling well. The townsfolk decide to try to help while pretending they don't know, so they visit the Bitery in droves and offer them snacks and well-wishes. B.B.B. notices everyone is acting strange and tries to find out the truth.
