While Avril calls the police, Nick confronts the intruder, and their scuffle can be heard on the emergency call to West Yorkshire Police. Eventually the burglar makes his escape on a passing bus, not realising that his every move is being captured on CCTV. While the police carry out their investigation, Keeley sets to work beefing up the couple's security so they can feel safe in their own home again. Meanwhile, in South Wales, Dan comes to the aid of single mum Jackie, who has come home to find her house ransacked. The experience has left her feeling so shaken that she's experiencing palpitations. But Dan gets stuck in to update the security in her Victorian home.

At a community nursery school, intruders have ripped up all the copper water pipes, causing immense damage and flooding the lower floors. The break-in has put the nursery's future in jeopardy, unless Keeley can sort out some security improvements.

Operation Red Rock is aimed at Swansea's large student population. Students often fall victim to the theft of things like mobile phones, MP3 players and laptops. With large house-shares and lots of people coming and going, it means security isn't always taken very seriously, giving the burglars lots of opportunities.

Keeley Donovan helps them to make some improvements so they can feel safe once again. Meanwhile, Dan Donnelly is in South Wales with Bob, who lives in a complex for elderly people. While Bob was taking a nap, an opportunist thief walked into his unlocked home and stole £2,000 which he was saving to buy new carpets.

But there's a major breakthrough when a crime reduction officer spots traces of blood next to the shattered window. Will the DNA evidence help the police to reel in the culprit? While the police investigate, Dan Donnelly helps to beef up the couple's security so they can feel safe in their own home again. Elsewhere in Leeds, Keeley Donavan helps a house full of students who discover a burglar has shinned up the drainpipe to break in through a bathroom window and steal their TV. New security measures include thick anti-climb paint on the drainpipes.

Meanwhile, in Swansea, Dan Donnelly is at a student house where a burglar has walked in and taken the television - and a stash of beer. It seems the students were distracted on a student night out and may have left the back door unlocked. But in the stark reality of day, they realise how frightening the prospect of a night prowler really is. Dan Donnelly gives them some security tips, including simple ideas like marking their belongings with UV pens for identification.

To make matters worse, the conservatory was only installed the previous week. Keeley Donovan helps them beef up their security with toughened laminate glass doors and better locks to make sure the couple feel safe again.

And West Yorkshire Police get a lucky break with their investigation into the crime. Meanwhile in south Wales, Keeley Donovan is helping Bill, whose home has also been burgled. Among the items stolen is a ceramic money box which he uses to collect 50p coins to buy his grandchildren treats. Keeley gets stuck in to upgrading Bill's security, including some emergency work on a wonky back gate.

    Keeley Donovan comes to the aid of Leeds homeowners Sharon and Glenn, who got home from work to find their home ransacked. Not only have the burglars stolen Sharon's iPad with all her precious photographs, they've also had the cheek to take her bottles of beer. As Keeley tries to improve their security, the police investigation gets off to a promising start. A neighbour has filmed the culprits making off from Sharon's house carrying bulging carrier bags, and some empty beer bottles are discovered nearby. Meanwhile in south Wales, stolen items are found dumped next to a road near Swansea. The local Environmental Services team spots an identity card among the discarded items, which leads directly to one of their own members of staff who has been burgled while on a weekend away. Many of the stolen items have enormous sentimental value. Dan Donnelly helps the owners Sandy and Rosie to make their home burglar-proof so they are not targeted again.

    Dan Donnelly helps out Ken, a retired university lecturer, who discovers a thief has been in his house and taken his things while he slept. The burglar has broken in through a back window and stolen various items, including Ken's laptop, holding some of the last pictures of his late wife. West Yorkshire Police carry out door-to-door enquiries and discover there have been other burglaries in the area. To try to stop Ken being targeted again, Dan arranges to boost his security, including the installation of a large back gate. Meanwhile in south Wales, Keeley Donovan is with Jean, a retired missionary whose home has been burgled while she has been out. Little has been stolen because most of Jean's more precious items were taken in a previous burglary. But Keeley and the team help bolster Jean's security in the hope that it won't happen again.

Undercover officers pose as buyers to try to catch the thieves. But will the sting be successful? Meanwhile, across the city, Dan Donnelly comes to the aid of a disabled man who has been targeted by an opportunist burglar. Jim, who has some serious medical conditions, had his house and car keys stolen while he was napping on the sofa.

As the investigation gets underway, Dan helps Hannah and her husband Chris to make their home and their garden sheds more secure. Among the items installed is a security camera system which enables them to see what's going on in their home even when they're at work. Meanwhile, across the city, Keeley Donovan is with West Yorkshire Police as they carry out an initiative aimed at cracking down on similar burglaries. Operation Optimal uses clever technology to pinpoint where burglaries are likely to occur and then swamps the area with officers in uniform to try to stop would-be burglars in their tracks.
