Casey races a top gun coachman into Midvale where they are greeted by a US army officer who takes command of the train and coach. The army is transporting a prisoner (Geronimo) to Deadwood and explains to Casey they expect trouble from Indians on the way.
This episode stars 'Russel Johnson" as the ex-engineer on the run from being convicted of killing people while on the job. Casey meets him while he is walking up the track and hires him not knowing his true identity. PS Russel Johnson is most known for his role as 'The Professor" in the series "Gilligans Island".
Mrs Casey meddles In Casey's career. She talks him into a promotion for her sake. Casey is unhappy with his new life but an emergency has Casey take the Cannonball to the rescue. We'll never know if he goes back to his new job to make her happy or she sees the error of her ways and lets Casey return to being happy becuause the series ends after this episode.
Casey in transporting train dispatcher Sam Wilson to Laramie to stand trial for murder. Only the marshal taking him there is the brother of the murdered man and has a reputation of arriving with dead prisoners.
