故事发生在1919年，栾学堂本是一个命如草芥的小乞丐，流落到北京之后在机缘巧合之下进入了济风楼成为堂倌，之后又因为无意之中得知了掌柜不可告人的秘密而遭到了驱逐。栾学堂命不该绝，在走投无路之际遇见了生命中的贵人，因此创办了丰泽园，开启了自己掌握自己命运的新时代。
