This year a brand new set of climbers took on Africa’s highest mountain. They climbed the 5,895 metres, braving tough terrain, high altitudes and potential illness, to raise funds for Comic Relief supported projects in the UK and abroad. Climbers are Strictly Come Dancing Head Judge Shirley Ballas, Former MP Ed Balls, Broadcaster Anita Rani, Love Island’s Dani Dyer, BBC Breakfasts’ Dan Walker, Pointless host Alexander Armstrong, NFL star Osi Umenyiora and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
