The story begins in the quiet, middle-America, corn-fed city of Willfield, Missouri, an outlying suburb of St. Louis. Kaden O'Connor (played by Jonathan Gray) starts off his sophomore year at Lawrence High School with hopes of fitting in. Beside him, is his faithful friend Shane (Martin) and his not-so-secret crush, Taylor Samuels (Kirk). Watch as he attempts to fill the shoes of his older brother, James (Hardin), avoids the school bully, learns about friendships, and strengthens his faith.
