Maxine and Ashley clean up after the flood but the house needs building work and decorating. Maxine insists on having it back to normal in time for Christmas. Vik is furious that Ravi has sold his inheritance and refuses to carry on working for Dev. Nita urges him to be cautious. Toyah overhears Tyrone admitting to Ken he can't read but refusing his help. She tells Tyrone that Ken taught her everything and that he can be trusted. Maxine employs Pat Hegherty to do the structural work on the house, promising him double money. Ravi gives his house to Nita and Vik but Vik doesn't see that as any consolation. Tyrone asks Ken to help him but begs him not to tell anyone as he doesn't want to be laughed at.
