Essex: Market trader Russell and retired nurse Nicola kick off the competition and they're joined by Elliot and Sophie, and Gemma and Glen. The evening seems to go well with Glen polishing off his own food, and everyone else's too. Night two is hosted by proud parents Sophie and Elliot, but the other couples are not expecting much from the youngest pair. Despite Sophie and Elliot's confidence their guests find crab claws in their starter and the main has mixed reviews. But it's their dessert that packs the biggest punch - deep fried jam sandwiches are a hit with Glen, but prove too stodgy for the others. On day three it's the turn of romantic duo Gemma and Glen, who decide to go for a more refined dining experience. Their tactics seem to go down well as the smaller portions prove a hit, but it's Gemma's love for burlesque that grabs most attention.
