In this episode Canadian writer Robert Bureau has found himself on trial accused of the murder of his secretary Celine Tallandier. He arrived in France with two failed marriages behind him and hoping to complete the research for a novel he is working on. Bureau hires Celine to type up his notes for him and he is soon smitten with her. Celine though is not as straightforward as she seems and Bureau becomes convinced she is hiding a secret from him.
